Site rankings diminishing…

dalster44 asked 3 years ago
Can anyone see any “Obvious” reason my rankings are dropping in the Search Engines? I’m a little concerned about this. In fact I’ve been kicked out of MSN for some reason after being in the top 5 for anumber of terms?

The only thing I’ve done that was Major was move my hosting from the U.S. to Canada, hence changing the country IP’s.

Site in question is http://www.inhomecasinos.com

Any ideas, suggestions would sure be appreciated.

Thank You,

I am bouncing around there, some terms gained, some terms lost, a hodgepodge without rhyme or reason.

I posted on MSN’s most recent update along with the new look and feel they are planning for launch. It looks like what we saw the other day was a brief peek at the MSN to come. Shortly after the SERP’s shifted and the new look was present it was all turned off and the results and look went back to before the update.

See my post here: MSN Search Changing Look – Updating SERP’s

msn search page actually looks different a little, maybe it’s me

I actually noticed that too.. Could be they are testing a beta search today.

Yep the msn search page actually looks different a little, maybe it’s me. Lost some ground in msn quite badly on my main site but i’ll be back up soon hopefully. One of my sites i havent worked on lately is now actually above my main site.

No I paid for a private/secure IP

All my pages are indexed in Google and most in Yahoo.

Possibly just my SEO sucks now <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

I have many responses from the “SEO Experts” out there and all have said changing IP’s would have NO effect on rankings.

I would agree with this as long as the ip is only used for your site.. If your sharing a ip with others ( which some servers do ) then you could run into problems.

Just a quick word about the IP question:

Back to the drawing board.

I actually think their bot gets lost.

Cuz one site of mine bounced in and out several times. Now it is ranking #1 for the keyword I wanted and has stayed for awhile.. ( but the site could be gone tomorrow and come back next day ) I don’t get to excited about MSN, since I have seen this a lot with quite a few of my sites.

It is also possible your site is still in there just now under a totally different keyword that may not get the traffic you want.

No, my site isn’t there at all, i type in my url to search and its not found.

I still have not found the problem yet, so I’m assuming I’m in some kind of sandbox atleast with Google cause of the IP change.

I emailed MSN questioning why this would happen, I got a response today (very quick) that they had no idea but were sending my email to their “Tech Team”

I’m not sure if this is just something they say to make you happy or if they will actually pass my email along, but atleast its hope.
