Our industry was built on PPC….

JasonD asked 3 years ago
Our whole industry was built on affiliates delivering players to the operators and the majority of players that affiliates sent to operators were via PPC. In the old days it was like the wild wild west, with the early players staking their claim to the PPC Gambling gold.

But then it seemed as if the gold vein dried up as they disallowed gambling advertising but a new vein may have been struck since Google allow PPC in the UK and Italy (for starters)

Is this the gold rush all over again?
What are you doing to grab your share of the precious metal ?
Are you already playing in this space and seeing the rewards?
Is it too expensive for you to arbitrage the costs effectively?

If you tell me about your experiences I’ll tell you about mine

Come on then Jason, share the secrets

I will but not until a conversation actually occurs in here.

At the moment it is akin to a cave packed full of people all scared to make a noise in case they wake the slumbering bear.

The silence is deafening !!!

I’d like a conversation or 2 and if it doesn’t occur I can wait

not necessarily a bad choice of phrases. Those phrases can actually deliver VERY well for affiliates and are one of the few areas they will generally do better than an operator.

Is there anyone else out there `?????

Are there any decent networks that do allow US targetting? I was going to go back to adbrite which had been fairly good for me in the past but they no longer allow US targetting either, and if I remember there were no other decent ppc competitors..

Hi guys,

I work for a company called Roar.com which is a PPC network.

We use our gambling advertiser feed to serve ads on domains monetized on our Fabulous.com parking program.

So the traffic from our network comes primarily from type-in traffic from domain names. The majority of traffic in our network is US, but also have traffic from the UK, EU, CA, AU, etc.

If you are looking to buy traffic on a PPC basis, feel free to contact me and I can help you get set up with a Roar.com account.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Cheers,

Mike

I think I still have a ROAR account from a long time ago, it didn’t work for me at the time but I’m looking into a new tracking system and would be willing to give it another try.

ROAR = Fabulous which is a domain holding page system for domain owners. I’ve had tremendous results over the years with them and I must say Dan is one hell of a personality!!

Don’t forget that there is a relationship between some of the higher value gambling domains and the ROAR owners though. It didn’t put me off but may sway your view.

The ROI is there but NOT at the same level as search engine PPC.

Again, this is simply my 2c and your mileage may vary or differ

OK let’s have a quick straw poll .

How many people here have been accepted as an affiliate onto Google for PPC Advertising?

If we get above 5 people saying yes I will start to share some basic philosophy that when followed should see some true financial benefits to your bottom line!
