Kinderstart sues Google over lower page ranking

tuleja asked 3 years ago
Don’t like your page rank and being penalized by google? Just sue them, it’s the American way to tack on a few frivilous lawsuits to pocket the linings of lawyers! :terms: :shots:

“A parental advice Internet site has sued Google Inc. Charging it unfairly deprived the company of customers by downgrading its search-result ranking without reason or warning. The civil lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in San Jose, California, on Friday by KinderStart.com seeks financial damages along with information on how Google ranks Internet sites when users conduct a Web-based search.”

Good luck on getting their secret recipe.

There was a similar case in 2002 (Kingsearch (Bob Massa) vs. Google.
The judicial result was in the favour of Google.

Anyway this is a topic of interest.

Do they have the right to manipulate results based on the fact that is a free space?

IMO Search Engines are what they are , due the effort of millions of webmasters, and the ethical sites deserves an equal treatment.

More madness from an idiot happy to sue (and lose a lot of money to their lawyers).

Google can order and rank how they like. It’s their site. This case shouldn’t even get past a preliminary hearing.
:bullshit:
