PaRaDiGm asked 3 years ago
Hello,

I submitted a sitemap to google etc…

But while installing joomla, my site disappeared from google.

How can i know if my site is banned? ( i tried to contact them but just had an automatic answer ).

Aaaahhh….

Every single page on your site has the same title, description etc.

This is very bad and might very well have caused this problem.
Imo you should fix that ASOP!
(install a mod or something)

Hello,

I’m sorry but i don’t have the same title on every single pages. About the desc, thanks for the info, i will have a different one on each page.

This post has been edited because i was mistaken

The real title tags might be to similar,
xxxx – Rate My Online Casino

same…,
but realy not sure what it does,
i doubt googlebot sees it as your title,
ill have a look into that

but this shouldnt get you banned

ok, found this:

3 quotes:

“The syntax will be valid, but it has no particular defined meaning.”

“It would seem to at least lead to confusion with the HTML title tag.”

and from Tedster:
” The meta title () is not the same HTML entity as the title element (Blah Blah Etc.). It is the title element thas has always had major sigificance for search engines, not the title meta tag. “

I just tried on two old computers with internet explorer and Fire Fox and it worked fine. Do you know exactly from wich line/script your problem comes from?

I’m on an XP Pro system now, it was a windows 98 system (don’t ask) and it hung on loading the jackpot applets. It loads fine with XP.

in any even your site is in google but not well optimized.
Go to Google and in the google search box type: site:http://www.ratemyonlinecasino.com/%5B/CODE%5D

You’ll see all the pages crawled. However notice the descriptions under the title are identical. I used to have the name of my site on every page but have concluded that unless I’m attempting to achieve brand name recognition (lol) the real estate is better used for specific keywords.

checkout highrankings.com for some optimization tips and advice, maybe get the newsletter.
