I would like you to remove my site from all your sites.

what did I miss?

I’m lost Dom, please enlighten me. Sounds like something I’d say, so I got your back. But whats it all about? To whom are you speaking?

To cgames:

well it seems to me to be a no-brainer that there IS something to worry about; though I admit I am ignorant of many terms and etc, to do with SEO or web design, but let me tell you why i think there is reason to worry.

you got people telling stories of it hurting them
and
nobody goes to this much trouble to copy so many sites (even if its automated) and basically sets out to publish copies of other websites; since even I know that if I were to publish a website that was a copy of yours; that it likely would not get me anything but a guarantee for SE to penalize me, ban me, or basically assure me from anything good coming my way. Then there’s the hassle of dealing with the irate (and rightly so) webmaster who is talking law suit for copying his material.

Unless they know it will somehow result in giving them an advantage.

Follow the money, you’ll find the guilty party. Same thing applies here. If there is something funky going on, and its in such large porportions that it is obvious that it took considerable work to achieve the results; then there is more involved than just the ego of one eccentric person. It then is obvious (at least to me) that these scumbags have found (another) hole in the system which they are working very feverishly to take advantage of; which will end result in their making much more money. And most likely this is money stolen from you or me.

I never got a lot of free traffic, but most of what I was getting has dried up, and I bet anything its because my content was copied and then put up on a site with more incoming links than I have on my site; and therefore I was bumped out of that spot I had held for such a long time (because I get only traffic for keywords / phrases which nobody else bothers to target; that is until it became easy enough to copy my content, and now they’re gathering all this little, seemingly unimportant fragments of traffic which I’m sure adds up nicely when multiplied by 1000s of sites).

Sorry Steve, I apparently missed this post when you put it up.

My comment about wanting to be removed related to this thread:

http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/showthread.php?t=5723

To be precise, it related to one of the people mentioned in the “who is” info posted there.

They know who they are, and I will check next week and take the appropriate steps if I am still listed on their sites.

I understand a class action suit would be an inexpensive and effective way to put an end to some of these practises.

Indeed it would. :capmiami:

I dont think anybody should be alarmed…This used to work only with Yahoo, and they have almost fixed this problem – I see a bunch of Aff. Network’s websites starting to disappear, and they had eaten my website from top t bottom <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

IMO, the PR shows nothing more than the “uniqueness” of the page – this is the only way I could explain my PR5 websites which do not rank anywhere on Google…
