How Much Traffic Is Out There?

darko123 asked 3 years ago
This poll is for the average monthly visits you receive from search engines ONLY ……. Just how much free search engine traffic is out there…hmm…..

I know SE traffic is not the be all and end all, as i know some sites get most of there by quality link partners and repeat visitors that bookmark etc, but i thought it might make an interesting poll :capmiami:

Also this is for 1 site(your main one), not the ave total of your network(if you have lots)

well, 66 a day isnt too high, but when i made this thread 4 months ago, i was on about 50 a day from search engines.

although mine now is very different :rasta:

But like ive read on here many times and only recently now really fully understand.

It really doesnt matter how many visitors you get a month, its the quality of them and the targeted phrase used that converts to $$$

for example i have 1 page on my site that gets about 5 signups a month – this page only gets like 5 visitors a day from SE. So very profitable and real proper signups.

and i have another page that targets free no deposit poker – gets like 50 signups a month and about 500 visitors from SE – im lucky if i earn $50 from it lol

But i would still love to get 25,000 per month lol

darko123 you send me what is the website : I am very interested.

Darko123 : you can send the url of the page in email.

I have had a big increase with alexa : but I am not interested to know if I am earned. Now I want to point on quality.

Darco,
I couldn’t agree more that quality visitors are very important but clearly, a site that gets 40 to 50,000 visitors a month will benefit from the number of additional quality visitors that come along with that kind of traffic. Do you think it is possible that you are grossly underestimating the amount of unpaid gambling traffic that a single site can attract through Google and the other search engines?

Heya Darko,

I wouldn’t suggest sharing with anyone which pages convert better than the others, but the next time you order content from me.. Ya oughta point that out So I can continue using the profitable keywords throughout your new content

There are many different types of traffic, as there are different earning models.

Few portals do any type of branding, but if you have a site with quality information that changes frequently its a viable option.

In branding the initial traffic usually doesn’t convert too well, as you are driving numbers. If you do it right, as the business matures, the traffic will become better and better in quality.

Branding takes time and money and time and more time, and then more time. Much of that time there won’t be much profit because you plow money back into the business, keeping the portal fresh and growing it and the traffic.

My guess is that the portals listed with lots of traffic are either well branded or just have junk bulk traffic. Generally buying such high amounts of quality traffic is not very feasible, although it is possible.

Junk bulk is never good, not for branding either.

In past years people used to laugh at me because I applied branding to a portal. Nobody has been laughing in some time.

It is one explanation for the high visitor numbers. But as pointed out above, you don’t need that many visitors to be profitable. Targeting your site well will do the same with a lot less visitors.

Others do well with linking schemes, but you need to be watchful doing that nowadays, google is very leery of links anmore. Doesn’t mean it can’t be done though, just stick with quality.

There are many ways to do create a profitable business, and everyone needs to figure out what suits them best.

Yahoo is the greatest source for me, many visitors with the right keywords.
