Google’s Latest & Greatest Tool- What Do You Think?

JillO asked 3 years ago
Google seriously changed search this week with “Search, Plus Your World.” And (of course) there are mixed reviews:

SEO Expert, Scott Polk, who (IMO) is brilliant when it comes to SEO & Affiliate Marketing, shares that it truly can be a powerful tool for affiliates to better brand and expose your site, products, etc.
Search, plus Your World” Is Google’s Latest and Greatest Search Tool

But others are airing on the side of the change being too extreme… That Google is trying to use their search engine powerhouse to push out Facebook… Some even saying that Bing is now the best search engine:
Gizmodo: Google Just Made Bing The Best Search Engine

What do you think of the changes and how “Search, Plus Your World” will fare?

Where do I find the tool…
wait wait..

Search Plus Your World.

I’m not set on it to be honest… I really don’t want to see content from people I have on google plus, let my facebook – i would rather want what is best and trending?

And I’m not sure I would want my family and friends to see what I recommend or like.

Classic example is – I used to have 1 facebook account, it had my work and family on there.
I really dont want my family and friends, and children.. see what I am liking and recommending to adults, or like minded people out there.

And I don’t want the 2 groups interacting, and I like the whole idea of anonymity to an extend.

I feel like its getting too claustrophobic.

I agree! I believe there are some things that should remain private… what you search on Google is one of them!

I don’t like the idea because it means more work for affiliates. How is anyone supposed to have enough time to build links, get into social media, and do everything else at the same time? Especially if you have multiple sites? I think Google is getting too complicated and fancy, just my personal opinion.

Google is aggressively integrating Google+ into their search engine. I think the main idea of this is to have more users using their social network and apps with it…
