Under webmaster tools you can track the “impact” of your plus one rankings in the serps.. It worth examining all items in webmaster tools to understand how google looks at your site.

Google +1 gives more value by personalizing results for the user that gave +1 and not by increasing SERP position for your website.

The hatters (black and grey) are already having a field day with it. Which is how things work. Their overt abuse helps google train their algorithms.
