For monitoring, analysis, getting ideas, competitor analysis I use

SEO Toolbar : SEO Toolbar for Firefox: Free Firefox SEO Extension / Browser Plug In

seo quake toolbar

google analytics
google keyword suggestion tool
google webmaster tools

and SEO PowerSuite / SEO SpyGlass

I don’t really use any other tools.. but I’d be interested to see if anyone else uses the same tools as I do, and what everyone else uses.

Does anyone use the subscription tools offered at SEOMoz.org? Rand Fishkin is obviously very well known in the SEO world but I am just curious about the quality and value of his tools.

I came across SEOmoz in the past, but I figure there are other tools out there which give you the same information and more, without the limitations.

I like Market Samurai for keyword research and domain checking. There’s not much there that can’t be found elsewhere, but I do think it’s a simple app that saves time when getting a site started.

SEOMoz is giving away a month of access free, so we are trying it out. So far we haven’t quite seen the added value from what we can already get from their free tools. A little extra, and it’s nice that they keep track of everything on a weekly basis, but not sure it’s making me any smarter at SEO.
