Do you work with Gambling Wages?

GamTrak asked 3 years ago
I’ve been struggling with how to handle Gambling Wages after seeing the latest events that happened with JTodd’s effort to give them a chance to show they have changed. I was also dissppointed in a reply they made in the private section of another forum that IMO was very rude and disrespectful.

Since 2005 I have many members that like this casino and use the coupons loyaly and seem to not mind any warnings that we post and continue to play. So many of the codes are posted that I had to create threads for them as to not have the entire section filled with GW brands.

Last week I decided to no longer allow any of the GW brands to be posted at the forum, but when I made the suggestion to a few folks they said that I should not just TELL them that they can’t post the coupons any longer, but take a poll and let the majority rule.

I already know that the poll will be to continue to allow the coupons to be posted. My question is being that I’ve not placed my affiliate tag in any of the post for about a year will I be a hypocrite if I start using my affiliate tag now?

What are your thoughts?

players always love these GW freebies but they are no good so you have to educate them.

maybe you loose some of the visitors but they wanna take the chance anyway.

Hi Gamtrak,

About your dilemma, here’s my thoughts on it. I wouldn’t put out banners and such on the top of the forum, or anything to MISLEAD people. But the thing that makes your forum, or any forum really successful is to be active. And that means members should be able to come and find all the info they could want at your forum, without having to go elsewhere, no? I do think you should constantly be educating your members and reminding them of which RTG casinos are highly trusted (iNetBet, Club World, etc), but I don’t see why members can’t exchange information about all casinos. If it’s posted by members, then you’re not recommending these casinos. And… I personally don’t see anything wrong with adding your affiliate link as you also make your warning statement. I wouldn’t use any banners though.

That’s my feelings on this anyway. Afterall, this is a forum we’re talking about, not your portal. That would be different.

Hi Daera,

I do appreciate you taking the time to reply to my poll! You are the third webmaster that has made that recommendation to me and after the feedback that I’ve gotten from the poster of the codes and others leads me to leave things as they are for the time being at least.

Thanks much and Merry Christmas to you and yours! :santa2:

Edit: I was just browing the forum and ran across this post here and it seems that the majority of the members DO know who the rouges are and they tell the other players: Free Chip ALL Weekend.

players will get fooled eventually, just a matter of time.

with their super high playthrough terms and fake money credits both players and webmasters will never know what “really” is the profit.

Mr. Todd tried to make GW an operator you can trust again but he failed and he was not to blame just the costa rica clowns.

So whatever you promote look at Casinomeister for the rogue pit.

try to make a difference, let the online gaming industry an industry you can trust and not bunch of rogue operators that lurk for the quick gains.

I do not support GW, prismaffiliate, Vip-lounge lunatics.

We always try to help affiliates that have player problems, but we can’t fix everything as there are issues beyond our control. Please feel free to contact us if you ever have any problems or concerns as we are in the office from 10:00 AM to 7 PM CTS. Monday through Sat. 1-800-549-7407

GW : You are still on apcw for not meeting your promises. The # of cases solved is just minimal.

Besides that GW casinos are not accredited at Casinomeister, the source I trust.

I was going to mention that as well Rick.

Hi Steve,

Why is JTodd still saying that Gambling Wages still owes money to folks and mentioning Gambling Wages in each of his weekly videos if it was not the case?

Either you are misleading us or you are calling JTodd a liar. I witnessed your reply in the private section at GIA, and I did not come away with the feeling that you guys had changed at all and it’s upsetting to me so please explained to me, if you will, why you left that forum/conversation so abruptly in the manner that you did?

Why don’t you give us a call so we can talk about this. Probably you are not aware, but all issues brought up by J. Todd where taken care of.

We are waiting for your call…

I see what you’re saying. It’s pretty much like you run a store and your customers keep coming in asking for cigarettes even though you tell them cigarettes are bad for them.

Yep, and I’m aiding and abedding. LOL

Reminds me when I was a kid and my syblings somehow got adults to buy beer for them! :roflmao:

Yea, I”m cool with losing some of that type traffic as I’ve done it long enough to know how to get new traffic with some extra work.

I’m partly to blame because when I started out I used the “no deposit”, etc keywords because I had a lot of sponsors giving away credits, but those days are gone and I’m changing my keywords in the near future.
