Beating a Dead Word Horse

JillO asked 3 years ago
Lately, turning to Thesaurus.com has been a regular thing. It’s now bookmarked with a little star in my Google Chrome favorites. I’ve been trying to use it as often as possible and switch up my usual sayings and start applying some new adjectives <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

But when you look across so many sites in the Internet Marketing Industry, is it me, or do you see the same catch phrases being used again and again?

Here’s a few that I see all the time

  • Real-Time Stats Tracking
  • High-Converting Offers
  • “Top” or “Best” Anything

Is it just me? If it is, I’ll stop… But if not, just curious if any one can add-on to my list. Is there any way we can start using some different terms?

JillO, I totally agree with you!

As someone who puts out content all day long, it’s difficult to get reallllly crafty with titles, particularly when you’re limited to character and word constraints to satisfy Mr. Google.

While phrases are used over and over, there’s no denying people love their “How Tos,” “Whys” and “Dos and Donts.”

It’s a tricky balance to satisfy the user + search engines, but with the right planning it can be done!
