AH-HA Moment with Your Site’s SEO

JillO asked 3 years ago
Especially with all of the significant changes that Google’s made in this past week, and the fairly large impact it’s had with several affiliates in iGaming… I thought maybe we could have a little bit of a brainstorm here in the forums.

Not asking for anyone to give the recipe to their secret sauce… But anyone willing to share an AH-HA moment they’ve had with their site’s SEO? Perhaps trying something a little bit “off the wall” and it’s worked (or maybe not worked)? Or… give some thoughts on updates/solutions that can be made to help boost rankings back up?

Bring on the ideas- let’s get the creative juices flowing <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Iam not very much sure that whether you will like my suggestions or not . But i can make you assure that there is nothing new in the update . Its just the same as before . What the update is about to notify that : now there are severe effects for not following guidelines which were made for green SEO. Just make the changes on your old SEO which was out of guidelines and was not effecting the sites yet before this update.

chandubsht… Great insight.

Just looking for general insights/revelations community members have experienced when it comes to their site’s SEO.

We just put together the Top 10 SEO Revelations of all time (from our point of view) but are curious to see what others have endured.

yeah : Just like i gathered some points from Link building ,SEO etc

1. High Blogrolls were not beneficial links in some of last year updates. But was also not effecting sites with penalty like now.
2. Spam Links like from link farm sites representing more than 100 + externals to various websites without any means expect only for links was not counted by Google as Back-link to your site .But now it revealed as deindexing of that site.
3. The content were copy pasted and copy edited due to which Google now just get them lots of drop in the ranking.
4. Creating lots of sub domains and redirecting 301 to all and exchanging reciprocal links.
5.Just commenting on a blog with no relevancy with some words like awesome, nice and sentence with some good praise saying that i bookmarked it (but really didn’t ). Just because that post was having high PR and leaving a Link to your website at the end with no means that who is going to see that.
6.Using keyword stuffing in such a manner that , each of the alt tag has same keyword and every where in a blank space there is same keyword present.
7.Just getting 1000+ links in a day through a blog comment which have over 5-10k index pages and shows the recent comment with the user link on every page of website.
8.Just trying to write including the keywords as much we can. Neither thinking a apart from that what would be the effect on reader. Will that write up guide the user or customer on a site in actual or not.

These are some of the common SEO Bad effects which i have experienced from many of the SEOs trying to perform for clients to get them on top in just little time period. Many of them succeeded in such practices earlier . But now they are feeling this as Google updated with new policies. With above there are many of the practices still they are trying to do like cloaking, Redirected PR, Automated Submission tools for SEO off-page to spam directories, articles etc. But that practice can’t last long.

Sorry For the Bad English
