InactiveOne thing I’ve never figured out about Stats Remote is this:
I’m always looking at my monthly total down at the bottom.
However, if there is one program that has a negative balance for the month, Stats Remote will subtract that from the monthly total. That’s not a true accounting, because I don’t actually have to pay for that negative balance – it should be the equivalent of a zero instead.
Has anybody figured out how to manage this sort of thing with Stats Remote?

With some programs the negative balance is carried over to the next month. In such cases we need to include it in the total revenue for the month.
If you use programs that don’t carry negative balances over and StatsRemote displays negative numbers, please email us a list of programs with details, i.e. how we should display it… when they reset the negative balance to zero… etc… dev A T statsremote D O T com … Thanks

InactiveHi JB,
Thanks for the response.
Perhaps the simplest way to handle it would be in account preferences / setup panel have a checkbox where you can choose to display negative balances as zero for that particular affiliate program?

We would need to know for which period though. Not all programs use monthly periods and it’s not always possible to see what periods the programs use. Since we usually try to read daily stats, this is more complicated than it might seem.

Hi JB,
I’ve a suggestion for your program – but maybe it already exists, so in that case please forgive me)
Could it be possible to modify slightly the interface of StatsRemote, in a way that we can set groups of programs that can be closed and opened?
Because even on my screen there’s too much programs on screen and it could be great if we can set up groups (for example in our cases: RTG programs, PlayTech programs) that we can close and then open.
That could greatly enhance the interface, and then we can even for example set up old programs that have disappeared or moved, that we do not want to delete to keep the history revenues.
Please let me know if that is possible. Since it’s just a matter of display, I think it could not be that hard to program.
BTW, your program is awesome, keep up the good work! :hattip:

Firstly, thanks for the good words

We’re in the process of developing a completely new version which is scheduled to be released this fall. One of the new features will be grouping.
You can already exclude inactive programs (they won’t be checked anymore then). Just right click on the programs and uncheck ‘Included’. Then check ‘View -> Included Programs Only’ and all inactive programs won’t appear in the interface anymore. If you want to check your historical stats including the now inactive programs once in a while, just uncheck ‘View -> Included Programs Only’ temporarily and you will see all your stats again.

InactiveAfter hearing webmasters rave about this service I finally decided to sign up today.
A couple of problems I noticed. As someone else mentioned one negative balance should not affect all the other programs, as webmasters don’t actually have to pay out the negative. What I would do is have the negative balance show up, but just compute it as 0 for the total balance.
Also, for some reason my stats dont always reflect the real stats. Rewardaffiliates is off by about $1000 from what my statsremote interface is showing. (and yes I have the percentage right)
Nonetheless a great program with a great interface, keep up the good work. My main concern right now is the stats being off as in the above example.
