Guys I havent had the chance to chat with Robin, but based on her comments in the moderators area I think its only fair to Rome Casino that we archive the first audit results and revisit them in the future. Their appears to be a communication discrepency and we want to ensure all CAP audits are 100% accurate in their conclusions so a retest is in order.
Gabe and Josh thank you for all the support in reviewing our first audit and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Also special thanks to Top Game for their quick response and for addressing the concerns we had and for making the requested changes to the tracking cookies.
January 22, 2009 at 11:33 pm #793440AnonymousGuestOver the past few days, it’s come to my attention that my company has been the subject of CAP’s first Affiliate Program Audit. Though I believe without a shadow of a doubt that they had the best of intentions in conducting it, the results could not possibly be further from the truth. Having said that, I’ve been in discussions with Robin over the last couple of days and we’ve determined that her report has been misread completely. I’m personally not interested in who was at fault so long as Rome’s name is cleared completely and a public apology is made for the mistake. I look forward to a follow up post by Robin and The Professor to fully exonerate Rome Casino and to verify that what I speak here is the truth. I want to thank both The Professor and Robin for coming forward and helping to clean up this mess. My only hope is that everyone reads this and we can somehow repair some of the damage done to our reputation. I simply want it made totally clear that an audit on Rome WAS done and that its results were extremely positive.
The WhitePaper claimed the following:
3/8 players were untracked
8/8 second deposits were untrackedThe truth of Robin’s report:
1/8 players untracked
8/8 second deposits trackedExplanation for the sole untracked player:
During our research of this audit, we found that the untracked player was initially tracked when visiting RomeCasino.com, and when downloading the software. The player however, did not register at this time. It appears that during the time between download and registration, the player changed both their IP and cleared their cookies, which are the 2 methods our software uses to track registrations of players.
The affiliate Bonustreak’s player (Peralis) was initially logged and tracked when he came to our site via http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/private.php?do=showpm&pmid=163991 His IP at the time was 196.3.94.228. He however only downloaded our software at this time, and did not register an account. His IP then changed to 196.3.94.225, where he then registered an account. Unfortunately, this change in IP led to him no longer being associated with Bonustreak, as his identification to our system had changed. The data backing this up can be seen on our report here: http://www.romecasino.com/cap-audit.php
Explanation for second deposits not appearing:
No explanation needed. As Robin will tell you, the auditors simply kept the money, didn’t deposit it Rome Casino was made to look as if we stole the money while all the while, the auditors simply failed to deposit it.Although Robin will backup our findings completely and without exception, we’ve gone 10 steps further and created a much more scientific report you to read that will put your minds at rest. Rome’s tracking is 100% effective and so is our deposit tracking. Not only that but we have the best processing available in the industry as there is not a single American payment method we’re aware of that we don’t accept. I sincerely hope that after this terrible misunderstanding, you will change your minds and give us a chance to earn your business. We look forward to seeing all of you in London.
Our report including a complete rebuttal of the whitepaper can be found here:
January 22, 2009 at 11:41 pm #793443AnonymousInactiveI completely agree with what Ceaser said. It does appear that my report was misread.
Being that I did not see the report before it was published I had no idea what the results would be. In my mind I knew that some of the 2nd deposits were missing and asked the testers to send the information to me to verify it. I never got that and when I heard that there were errors I assumed that was the problem and it was only AFTER Josh and Gabriel called me that I found out what had occured.
I’m glad that Rome has a chance to show their side and folks can make up their own mind.
I’m sorry for any errors on my part, which was not asking to see the report prior to publication, not demanding the screenshot of 2nd deposit and I missed one 2nd deposit made, and will be sure that it does not happen again.

Please PM me with the information. I don’t recall you telling me of a problem.

Yeah and cap put out a second set of ‘facts’ .This has been a disaster and personally if Rome is completely innocent i would be demanding some sort of compensation for this.Like it or not something like this can derail their reputation for a long time.Maybe Cap should rethink their ‘audits’ as I can imagine a few like this will cause a big loss eventually.
January 23, 2009 at 12:08 am #793451AnonymousInactiveRobin, pm sent.
Please get back to me, i can send screenshots if needed.

January 23, 2009 at 12:13 am #793452AnonymousGuestHave you guys even read our report which has been 100% backed up by Robin? The audit leader?
The results of the audit are clear: 1 of 8 players was untracked due to an IP mismatch, not 3. NONE of the 8 deposits are missing, all of them are accounted for.
Does it seem right and fair that you won’t consider working with us even though the whitepaper has been proven to be mistaken?
I understand your initial reactions but you need to read our response and listen to Robin as it was HER excel file the whitepaper was written from. You guys need to realize that an audit WAS done and the single untracked player has been fully explained by the fact that his IP changed between the time he downloaded and deposited.
Why are you people still trying to hurt us now that you know the facts? What have we done wrong exactly?

The audits are a good idea and necessary. This being the first audit there were problems, but I’m woman enough to admit when a mistake has been made and hope the heck others are as well.
We all make mistakes, but it’s admiting them that lets me sleep at night.
I would have never dreamed that folks would pocket the money as the instructions are clearly posted.
January 23, 2009 at 12:15 am #793454biggygMemberI have a question on this -is this rome saying it diDnt count because of change in IP?Or Cap.If rome then this is awful not to track a player because of change in ip -ips change all the time -at least mine does.

Hi Pat, I will check it out and get back to you. I really need to have dinner and unwind for a bit as this has been a nightmare two days and I need a break from it for a bit, but I will get to this evening.
