InactiveWell, RB better take down the “for life”. It’s a lie.
What’s to keep RB from routing my new player through all their casinos and make a first deposit on each without ever paying me a penny?

InactiveRefer Back let me help you a little:
You are not listening to what people are saying.
In this order:
1. read what people dislike about your changes
2. address the issues
3. move forwards.Or
1. pretend everything in your garden is rosy
2. keep spouting plain stakingly obvious nonsense
3. move backwardsAugust 4, 2005 at 5:36 pm #670152Anonymous
InactiveThe customer will be linked to you once he/she has made a second purchase at the casino. Once this has happened, you will own the customer. And all revenue from all of that customer’s accounts within the Belle Rock Gaming Group will be linked to you. Therefore, you will receive commission from all the casinos within the Belle Rock Group at which that customer purchases and plays at from the day he/she opened the account including the 1st purchase.
So where will they be linked before the second purchase.. And we are suppose to now trust that you will give us credit at all.. What if the player deposits once and doesn’t come back and deposit for 5 months? Are we suppose to trust that we will ever get credit for this player?

InactiveHey Everyone,
I have removed Referback casinos from my index page at http://www.captains-free-casinos.com . I will be working on my others sites in the near future as well. Still Captains is my highest traffic site.August 4, 2005 at 6:57 pm #670161Anonymous
InactiveI have taken them out of all rotations but it will take longer to update them in the reviews, might be easier to modify the reviews as simply as making the review ” we no longer can offer a positive review as we cannot be certain they will honor their agreements”. I think it is safe to say that is an honest statement.
I think if everybody who feel offend just removes their banners a significant message will be sent.

InactiveThe changes I am making are going to be permanent. My front index page of my sites get the most traffic so I am hurting Referback where it counts most till I get back to work full time. Referback really fucked up this time.

InactiveWe had them on page one and removed them, they will be getting removed from the entire site on Monday(I have a wedding and major things to attend or else they would be off now) Then we are making a blacklisted casinos site where they are going to be the main attraction for warnings.

InactiveWhilst the stance against Referback is heartening and is IMO the right action to take unless they reverse the changes they implemented to their T & C’s.
Why are only a small percentage of those outraged with Referback taking the same stance against Vegas Partner Lounge, Fortune Affiliates et al?
After all, these programs are still in breach, whilst referback have already removed some of their retroactive terms.
Surely we need to all apply consistency and treat any program that breaches the T & C’s we signed up to in good faith the same as one another.

InactiveExactly!
Fortune, Vegas Partner and Partnerlogic have done something illegal that will set a precedent.
That means it will come to bite us later.
If one does not deal with breach of contract and similair items, they become legal precedent. That means that if in a year or two others or the same casinos come along and blatantly refuse to pay us as agreed, we do not have a legal leg to stand on.
They can claim that there is plenty precedent proving that it is normal to break contracts in this industry.
I call that coming back to bite us. We have to stop this now – not later.
Referback has shitty terms and perhaps with pressure and continued negotiations we can achieve some change. Pull them and pressure them and negotiate – fine.
But if we forget about the real important stuff – breach of contract – we will suffer the consequences for years to come and we will have no recourse.
Fortune, Vegas Partner and Partnerlogic are putting us at risk for the future, and once done, it will not be possible to fix.

InactiveHey Everyone,
I agree 100% with the last three post. I have been in talks with one of the programs that posibly with do the right thing. As far as Vegas Partners they better follow suit as well. Traffic is valuable, do you want some.August 5, 2005 at 12:48 am #670190Anonymous
InactiveThank you Captain.
I am glad to hear there may be further changes.
I am sorry you had to break off your vacation for this – I have temporarily suspended some of my remodeling too so I can be of use here.
I hope this will get resolved soon so we can all get back to making money or taking time off or whatever we have planned.
Getting late – time for a cold one.
Cheers, Captain!

InactiveMy opinion is this. WE need to set the precedent here.
Forget any second chance, forget negotiation. Any program who breaks T&Cs should get the flush immediately and permanently. There should be no plunger capable of reversing this type of behavior.
This is important as many have noted… what happens here will likely determine the course of many other affiliate programs… if we get run over, the rest will make sure we stay down. Time to put the hoof in the mouth!
We should have a forum in here for programs that break their T&Cs. Once on this list, you will not be removed, the list should represent the demise of the program in the affiliate industry.
We should partner with other programs that we may / may not agree with or have had differences with in the past to make the largest impact we can.
THEIVING IS NOT EXCUSABLE, NOT EVEN ONCE. THIEVING IS A BREACH OF TRUST. NO SECOND CHANCE, THEY HAVE ALREADY SHOWN THEIR TRUE COLORS.
I agree that the removal of T&C violators once and for all from the Certified Programs list is a first step in showing we mean business. I also respect the Professor to make that call when he feels the time is right. I’m pretty fired up at the moment as you can tell.

InactiveI agree with Bernie. Especially this:
Forget any second chance, forget negotiation. Any program who breaks T&Cs should get the flush immediately and permanently. There should be no plunger capable of reversing this type of behavior.
If a program even tries to pull a stunt like this, they should be de-listed, prominently blacklisted, and sued for breach of contract.
I would personally like to see Referback de-listed here, and I’d also like to see a new CAP Blacklist. CAP is a powerful entity, and this power should be used to protect the future of the industry, IMO. If that means putting Referback out of business, so be it. Naturally this isn’t my call, but I think that’s what I would do if I was running the show.

I agree with that as well, but like he said it is not our call. Bernie your calm to me for being “fired up”..lol
