Inactivegoldencasino.com still works for me. but this is unbelievable! this will set a massive legal precedent…although only US authorities can legally play around with this since ICANN is overseen by US.
but still, KY is going mental.

How fitting… Kentucky, birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. He must be rolling over in his grave! Wonder who though up this scheme… I would guess some uneducated politician playing online, while watching porn and popping viagra while drinking Jack and smoking some Kentucky Grass! Quick Jethrow, get grannie, ellie may and the truck… we is goin’ to town!
What is next… porn, viagra… can’t a person get a fix anymore?

InactiveI’m no fan of Golden Casino, that’s for sure. But seeing their domain seized by Kentucky, literally makes me sick to my stomach.

I really didn’t think this would go this far. Then again, a lot of us thought things wouldn’t go this far when UIGEA was passed.
This is like a bad dream. Somebody wake me up already.

InactiveI would like to see if Kentucky takes any domain from a gambling business based in Malta. Given things are not good between EU and US on the gambling matters, it would bring a lot of problems into the table.

InactiveIn an industry that moves and readjusts as fast as this one, I suspect it will be painful for most of us to observe how slowly this situation evolves and resolves in the legal system.

GuestHi all,
okay but the only domains they have gotten are ones that were given up right?
I am not going to worry until I see them take one … or I see another registar cave.

InactiveWe keep making the comparison to China and how oppressive their government is, but even China would not take actions like these. We have a writer who has been talking about moving out of America lately and I fear this may push him over the edge. This is so damn serious, here is a quote from his latest article…
Imagine if the Las Vegas Sands, the Wynn Hotel and Casino, the Mirage, and several other major American gambling brands had their websites seized by the Chinese government.
Imagine if China did not just deny their citizens the right to visit these sites, but also filed a governmental decree that demanded registrars hand over control of the domain names of these major US companies.
Now imagine that China was successful in gaining control of those domain names, and imagine that those companies did not have a land based presence. They would have seen their entire company gone. Stolen by the Chinese government. Their stocks would crash. Their stock holders would lose millions and thousands of American workers would be out of jobs.
Now, imagine that this was not China doing it to American companies, but America doing it to foreign companies…

InactiveAP – A judge has given lawyers for online casinos seven days to file legal briefs in a case that could lead to the blocking of gambling Web sites in the state.
Franklin County Circuit Judge Thomas Wingate said he wants attorneys to submit the briefs before he holds another hearing in the case that he described as “very complex.”
Kentucky Justice Cabinet spokeswoman Jennifer Brislin said some online casino operators already have begun blocking access to Kentuckians in response to the lawsuit filed by state officials.
After a barrage of questions and comparisons to oppressive regimes, Brislin has stated several times today that their intention is to stop Kentuckians from being able to view the sites, not to shut down the sites to the world.
The PPA filed papers to the judge declaring that poker is a game of skill and not illegal in the state. We have called the Commonwealth of Kentucky officials and confirmed that they truly have received thousands of angry calls, emails, and letters from poker players in the state who had contributed to Beshears campaign.

InactiveHi all,
Oh no… more crap? Get buzy gov people!
It is on days like this that I thank myself for building a CMS for all my sites… I just change the URL of the casinos in the DB and ask the system to rebuild the pages and send them to all sites.
:inlove:
Regarding the US registrar thing, I use directi.com which is not an US registrar BUT there seems to be a problem… the interface and payments are managed by resellersclub.com (here is where you sign up) which seems to be an american company.
Not sure if this is useful but their price will go up soon and looks like if you signup and pass te “slab” pricing until the end of the month, you will keep the current prices. Just in case, if you decide to go this road, confirm with them.
