InactiveI think it’s a good idea, and it could definitely work.
The thing is that somehow one has to group sites with like linking power to make it fair.
Linking power largely depends on how many outgoing links you have, it’s not really as much of a PR thing like everyone seems to believe. (just my opinion here).
Age and size of the site also matter.
So while I think it is a super idea, and we have seen what this can do with the folks who cooperated with blacklists, there are some problems I can see as far as fairness of exposure goes.

Hopefully as a group we can find a way to make this all fair for all no matter what they have to offer. a simple alogorythem of some type can be used to to say how many entries each user can make per cycle, and of course this can always be modified as we go.

InactiveWhy have one site per week rather than permanent rotation based on linking power?
Also as dom said we need an old site that is already well established with casino keywords, even if it is well down the rankings.

Inactivethis is what we are thinking instead of pages a new slot on the index each day.. peoplw will be weighted as to how valuable there links are and given x amount of slots over a cycle..
I was thinking of many things as well such as having to have 2 members approve each slot before it goes live, ie everyone can make thier slots in advance and have them waiting, but will only be added each day if they are approved..
lots of thoughts..
As far as an old site I dont see that as a requirement, please dont think this will be #1 overnight by any means.

Inactivepersonally I think an old site is very important – or it just means this site will have to wait a year to come out of the sandbox
My experience with gambling sites to come out of the sandbox and conversations with other webmaster here, its normally a minimum 9 months(1 year average) in the sandbox for a new gambling related site targeting anything like casino, casino, online casinos etc

InactiveTwo thoughts here. I investigated a similar idea a while back and came up with two key problems, one of which has been mentioned: fairness. The other is ownership: it builds a potentially valuable resource to people yet domain ownership and control is an issue that could cause problems further down the line, especially if it achieves it’s goal and becomes high traffic.
On the fairness issue, you could arrange it so the affiliate links are pooled and for each visitor sent by a referring site who subsequently clicks an outgoing link, the referring affiliate gets one affiliate link displayed until it is clicked. But again, this is potentially open to abuse. needs some thought but think along the lines of the TGP sites.
Cheers

True Simmo
My major concern would be ownership. Exactly why I have never progressed with this idea.
Any ideas?
