Most definately one for your lawyers to look into. As I read it, any casino group not located in a country on the whitelist should not be promoted -if you live in the UK or have your servers hosted here.

Thanks thats what I thought and how I was going to work I just wondered if thats what everyone else was doing. By the sounds of it most operators that are worth working with are moving their servers so they will be on the whitelist but there is going to be a bit of a lag in time before all of them do that!

I would be equally curious how many programs are actually planning to get a new license in one of the approved jurisdictions because of this law? I’m not expecting an avalanche of aff manager replies these days but one or two would be nice nevertheless :hattip:

I have had to email them all individually and ask. I suppose if they are non whitelist they don’t care they still want you to promote them, from what I can see we’re the ones that need to make sure who is kosher. Lets see if any aff managers can help us though as it would be alot easier to collate all the info here than having to contact each one seperately

    Thanks

From a player’s point of view, would you trust an affiliate site that promoted a casino not on the whitelist?

The whole point of this regulation is to improve player confidence which can only be a good thing.

If a program doesn’t make an effort to get on the whitelist, they’re sending an implicit message to both players and affiliates. Would you still want to promote them in that case?

At the moment, there are a lot of big companies left out in the cold. They won’t allow that to continue. There’ll be a bit of a time lag and there may well be a lot going on behind the scenes, but the situation should be clearer in a month or two.

Keep your lawyers and players happy and just promote those programs who come up to scratch!

From the Betfred perspective, we were already looking at shifting our servers out of Curacao. We have already secured a licence and office space in Gib, as these are on the white list we are all good baby.

Our IT guys are out there now preparing for the big switch over. I am not aware if this will cause any lag or downtime at this time but we are working to ensure the smooooothest possible transition.

If oyu have any questions with regard to Betfred then I would be happy to answer them. If I dont know the answer then I will find it out, simple.

    All the best.

what makes me wonder is who is going to enforce this rule?

is someone in uk going to setup a whole agency where they will spend good taxpayers money to try to locate affiliate sites with listed programs that are not licensed in the “proper” place?

wtf…this is another police state. whatever happened to “the internets” ?

Does anyone have a list of where gaming sites are located?

I can only speak for Jackpotjoy here, but we will be operating under a Malta license from the 1st of September onwards.

Malta is within the EU and thus compliant with the new UK laws.

    Cheers

Last I heard it was still being considered. But the fact that a lot of the gaming operators based in Kahnawahke are moving might suggest something.

I can start the list – if someone will ‘sticky’ it. These are the ones I’ve checked so far.

    32Red – Gibralter
BetFred – don’t remember where but OK
    Club UK – Netherlands
    Eurogrand – Cyprus
Ladbrokes – UK – The Hilton Group
    Littlewoods – Malta
    Playboy – Malta
    Rushmore (Affibucks) – Malta
    Virgin Games – Malta

If Kahnawake isn’t admitted, I’m assuming many of our majors will be popping up with secondary licenses. No list for that, as yet.

Still checking and will add to the list as it grows.

The quickest way to find out where they are located is to search online.casinocity.com. I’m not sure how up to date the list is though with everyone suddenly moving around and not really reporting the fact.

If the casinos don’t start telling us of their moving intentions, if they have any, I’m going to start pulling sites very soon.

Kahnawake is the big one for most of us and if they don’t get approval very soon will mean major site changes.

Betfred is in the process of moving to Gibraltar if I recall correctly, they are/were domiciled in Curacao.

Ladbrokes is also in Gibraltar and is no longer part of the Hilton Group.

    Tila Casino is in Alderney.
I believe Fortune is also in Alderney.
    888 is in Gibraltar.
    Victor Chandler is in Gibraltar.
    Mansion is in Gibraltar.
    Party is in Gibraltar.
