A truly unusual thing to happen – CPays has just reduced my commission level to 20%, even though they do not offer less then 30% when signing up:

    http://casinopays.com/terms_and_conditions.html#A

miserable indeed, cpays has broken another sad world record of how to rip off an affiliate against their own rules.

Sorry to hear that, CK44m. :unhappy: Did they tell you why they lowered your commission? 20% is awfully low.

I would imagine that you have already removed their links and if not you will be doing so real soon? If I were in your shoes I know I would have!

well, i have been steadily removing their links, because the company is an unreliable one – but i never removed all of the links, and im still sending, very limited, but traffic.

this is how companies with a professional business attitude encourage you to work with them hehe :] on top of it they will keep bugging me and ask me why am i so unwilling to cooperate with them…

mymymy some people in this industry will never learn, will they?

    heh, check this out:

“The 20% is owed to your un-willingness to cooperate with us.”

just received it with my email, i can PROVE IT :] to anyone who is even considering to work with cpays: B E W A R E !

they will first ask you to promote them and if you dont give them the best spots you possibly can, they will call it your unwillingness to cooperate and then cut you % down to a level that is not even mentioned anywhere hehe :]

this is not even hillarious anymore, miserable is waaaay to positive to describe that affiliate program in one word. and to think those so called “proffesionals” advertise themselfes as the best affiliate program of 2005!

sad indeed, i would have never said there still is space for such companies on this market…

If they only stopped bundling and carrying over negatives they would not need all these incentives and intensive push campaigns.

People would flock to promote them anyway because they convert decently.

Instead, their managers impose themselves on your life, try to hand out little pieces of carrot to make up for the carried negatives, and try to practice some psychological domination thing.

They try to make affs feel loyal because managers harp on the friendship theme. They cut aff income down in general, but hand out incentives if the aff falls in step and accepts being bossed around for little rewards that don’t amount to what true earnings should be.

That’s my experience, and I don’t like being treated like that.

Just show me no bundling and no carryovers, and I’ll show you the numbers.

I have just had ad-agency.com their media buyers trying to get onto http://www.onlinecasinoreviewer.com – They were offering 50% rev share for the first two months, if I promoted Monaco Gold and 32Vegas.

Not a chance that is going to happen. Especially no chance of 32Vegas ever getting on any of my sites. They are riding off the back of 32Red’s good name, and I am sure not going to upset my relationship with 32Red, by promoting 32Vegas.

well im a bit relieved to hear im not the only one to be treated that way

but what youve said is true Frau aus Muenchen ;)

“The 20% is owed to your un-willingness to cooperate with us.”

Unreal! Yet they can offer me 50% to promote them. Maybe Casino Pays would be better served to look after their existing affiliates such as ck44m, than try to curry favour with potential new clients such as myself.

This thread has really vindicated my decision to never ever carry any CPays properties.

Wish you luck ck44m. But if I were you I would concentrate on promoting programs that treat you as partners. If you are not already doing so, I wholeheartedly recommend the likes of RoxyAffiliates and 32Red. They are class acts and the affiliate managers treat you very very well. Their player retention is good and they would never ever dream of putting you down to 20%

thanks webzcas, but you dont know one more thing: i work on the european markets mainly, where the english language is not a dominant one.

because of this i have rather limited opitons to choose from, especially considering the fact that i like to deliver my players platforms in their own languages. cpays is one of the very few available on the european markets with wider then one choices of lanugages and brand names. its not the english-spoken world where the choice is overwhelming…

but unfortunatelly they act TOTALLY unfair with their affiliates, so i strongly recommend avoiding them. first they will encourage you witha carrot (such as 50% for the first 3 months, we all know when the money starts to pour in) and then either you allow to be absolutely dominated or you are the bad affiliate who is “unwilling to cooperate” heh :] this is unreal indeed :] brilliant excuse as i think of it, aint it? :]

what Dominique has said is the bottom line about Cpays. the worst thing though, is that they really are not that bad when it comes to convertion and retention…

Until things change drastically over at cpays I will never promote them. Very much a matter of my own personal opinion and experience. A new affiliate manger would be a step in the right direction. The brands are good its the people who are pushing the product that are the problem.

There is a whole other world in regards to cpays.

I could go on and on about cpays, but I am affraid it falls on deaf ears. greek39

sad indeed, i would have never said there still is space for such companies on this market…This is really bad. But, I am not that surprised. Cpays has a history of screwing people over.

Is the commission level of 20% stated anywhere in Cpays’ terms and conditions? If not, I may take this further and blacklist them for not honoring their own T&Cs. That is really the last straw for me, when a company violates their own T&Cs. Of course I will need to check into this today before I take any action….

The two casinos have already been confused over at Casinomeister — someone had a problem with 32Vegas, but they called it 32Red in the subject line. 32Red’s reputation was probably damaged because of that.

yeah, they have 25% as minimum http://www.cpays.com/casino_commission.php

20% is stated NOWHERE but was the current level of my commission until about an hour ago – apparently someone from Cpays that knows me is watching over those forums :] and i have it in one of todays emails from one of the managers over at CPAYS, its the quoted before:

“The 20% is owed to your un-willingness to cooperate with us.” and then “You were informed about the reduction of commission to 20%, in the first chat we had on MSN, when we were talking about the Negative Netgaming. You can’t blame me if you don’t remember good.” followed :]

now they will most likely say: he has what he wanted, its time for him to start cooperating hehe :] why cant they just simply go along their own T&C rather then have to make people start conversations like this? i really dont get it. i dont.
