InactiveI have been concerned about my lack of growth for some time now, BUT whats more concerning is that my stats this month are horrific and I believe a DIRECT result of my remarks that I am removing links.
Furthmore its very amusing to hear Gareth state “Our Casinos convert less, but our player retention is higher, so basically we are focusing on the long term, not immediate profits.“
If they say their casinos conversions suck and we KNOW from experience that the retention sucks WHY should anyone continue to feed their casinos with traffic?

Ignorance is bliss for the casinos my friends. With some progams having 20 000 + affiliates, how many
keep sending them traffic month after month even though
they literally get rewarded peanuts.
Some sending traffic in this situation for YEAR$.
Great situation to be in.

InactiveWell its time to wake up and smell the coffee because the damn beans have been spilt!
- Conversions SUCK – as stated by program manager!
- Retention SUCKS – From my personal experience – leveling off despite sending on average 50+ players a month for more than two years and seeing no positive growth?
- Player Value – SUCKS – its low as a direct result of the horrible retention!
So you have to ask yourself – WHY?
Why are conversions not good?
Why is retention a problem?
Is it a casino related issue?
Is it a software provider issue?
Is it an affiliate management issue? Why should you, I, or anyone continue to send traffic to a program that clearly seems to careless about you, the affiliate? Are those peanuts really worth it? Could you not do better with that traffic however minimal somewhere else?
Some would say that I am knotting a rope that will surely hang me, I say there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough.
FTR I just got done watching Fahrenheit 9/11 – if you haven’t seen it yet – what are you waiting for?

InactiveAfter 5 years in this game I think most wiseguy operations look primarily at 2 things.
1. net profit
2. keeping the traffic flowing from you at minimal cost
1. Net Profit: during the bad months you spew out the profanityat the screen when you check the stats while at the other end
of the screen the owers are jubliantly dancing and singing
Hosanna … I would love to know how much they make during the
” bad ” months but its probably substantial, 1000 affiliates *
$1000 = a cool million per month … how can so many bad
months occur to so many webmasters at the same time in
a business where the house always wins ?
2. I think the capping is done calculated to keep you from
dropping them completely while never getting rewarded for
the true value of your traffic … how else do you explain getting
more or else the same commission after years of sending more
and more traffic.
I would love comments for or against these 2 points.

On one side of the fence you’ve got the program saying their conversions are bad and that retention is great. On the other side of the fence you’ve got affiliates sending plenty of quality traffic over 1, 2, and 3 year periods and not seeing continuous positive growth.
The only way I know how to explain is to stop being content with a few Gs and start demoting links to the cellar!
