GuestTo be fair, the sign-ups seem slower than normal for me – across the board.
Although they are trickling in, and I expect to make more than last month, it seems slow. A few big players are missing from almost every program.
I, along with several other CAP members have tested Casino Rewards casinos for reporting stats, and haven’t come across anything except accurate stats reporting.
I don’t think there is any monkey business going on. I don’t know why things are so slow this month, but I don’t think the fault is with the program.
If there were a program I would choose to pick on, it isn’t Casino rewards, whom I don’t send much traffic to, but with a certain playtech program, who gets over 1,000 a month from me and is not performing at all. Lou thought it seemed like a problem with players being able to deposit, but we don’t know for sure.

Fergie, I have to agree with Arkyt … become part of the solution. If you were them why would you pay when hundreds of affiliates
are doing exactly what you are doing ?
I can’t say I blame them at all for not ” performing “.

GuestYou two are assuming I’m still sending said playtech casino traffic.
I’ve cut down significantly. Just trying now to decide who gets the traffic in their stead.

Inactivenot I – I hate assuming and Im sure you know why

I just read your post “but with a certain playtech program, who gets over 1,000 a month from me and is not performing at all”
As I have mentioned above I am moving to remove CR from my sites even though the program is producing a decent monthly profit – its just not enough to make me happy. If I were seeing no performance at all they would have been gone long ago.

GuestActually, I find CR performs fairly well.
The other program, the playtech program, has just in the past month gone from great performance to zippity doo-doo.
Any recommends regarding who should get their traffic?
I prefer microgaming.

InactiveGreetings to the Casino Affiliate Members who seem to read my emails one after the other by the way; I could sue you for that, Eric, hope you realize it.
At this stage if you want to go elsewhere and promote other casinos, please do so: you’ve never brought us good traffic nor good players, and cost us a lot of time and effort getting back to you. As a reward, all you did was posting private discussions on forum(s), which I find other than unprofessional, completely rude.
I don’t like this tone, not from affiliates and not from programs.
CAP has always tried to keep everything professional and without mud slinging. It is what characterizes CAP as a professional board.
We try to solve things here, not just complain. And we like friendly resolutuions. Perhaps there is a bit of over reaction here on both parts.
Today’s small affiliates who care about what is happening with their traffic are tomorrow’s big affiliates. They may not post with perfect business etiquette and they may not be big producers, but what is needed is positive suggestions to help growth and friendliness.
Gareth’s mail was helpful up to the last post. Maybe CAP needs to think about whether it is a good idea to allow posting of email messages – if they are really illegal to post. If so, we need a policy.
It also brings up the issue then of posting emails that announce changes programs make – that certainly should be allowed as it is useful to all.
Gareth, it would be nice if you spent some time at CAP reading general posts and interacting with affiliates. We encourage that. It makes for better relations and cooperation. Hostility is really not the norm here.

InactiveI don’t know if posting emails is illegal or not, although I would be surprised if it were. I think it can be a useful tool in solving problems and communicating about things that are going on, but I also think that some folks have a tendency to get in too big a hurry to get really hostile about stuff.
You’re SO right about the nature and atmosphere of this board: it’s about being cordial, sharing information, and solving problems. Professionally and hopefully with a minimum of vitriol.

InactiveI agree the tone that Gareth took was very harsh and further acknowledge that I found it surprising.
I believe titus was posting because he was looking for help and thought this was his last resort. I think he wanted to put all the facts as he saw them on the table.
I also agree that posting emails is probably not illegal – and for Casino Rewards to complain about it is a laugher since a few months ago Brent passed along my personal stats to another affiliate behind my back – thats more of a privacy issue than posting emails which provided no personal info.
Gareth stated “and cost us a lot of time and effort getting back to you” Thats what SUPPORT does! AND that is my biggest issue with Casino Rewards and its clients. The support from both entities is less than satisfactory.
As Dom pointed out todays smaller affiliates turn into tomorrows giants – unless your holding them down or preventing them from growing by not supporting their needs!

GuestI echo what Dominique, Randy and Arkyt said.
Also, I doubt very much that posting emails is illegal – the email is the property of the receiver to do with as they choose.

InactiveHi all,
I am more than happy to help any and all Affiliates who come to me, whatever the question(s) may be. Meanwhile I am also a human being, and get annoyed when people keep on sending me rude emails trying to prove me that we are wrong or cheating – I get NO commission from CR, why would I care – and I do not like the posting of private messages without asking my authorization first. You are talking about being cordiality and friendly resolution; I believe it should start here.
I am also monitoring a couple of boards, and responding there. I’ll try and do the same with the CAP one, but please understand I am very busy as I am working on other sides of the CR Affiliate program, which requires a lot of time and effort. I’ll do my best, believe it, but you’re better off sending me an email at the time you post, otherwise I might not see your message in time – this system works fine on other boards.
In any case please don’t get the wrong idea: I’ve been dealing with all sorts of Affiliates, big and small – a couple on this board can testify – and I am trying my best here. I will always try and improve our program, I’m open to suggestions, but as Dominique stated it it has to keep on being constructive and going somewhere, otherwise it becomes a waste of time and effort for both parties, and that really was my feeling there.
Anyways, I read your posts, and we’ll take care of your input ( conversion, player support, etc. ).
Kind Regards,
Gareth, Casino Rewards.
PS: the starting point here was: “are we cheating or not”. No, we’re not shaving your earnings. Our Casinos convert less, but our player retention is higher, so basically we are focusing on the long term, not immediate profits. Hope this info at least will be useful to you all.

InactiveHey Gareth,
I personally have seen improvements in the past couple months. With conversions, retention and creatives. Thanks.
However I have noticed a couple casinos just do not perform as well. They use to but don’t anymore. Is it possible a lack in your retention team not focusing on certain casinos as much?
Since it is harder all the time to bring in new players, it is even more important for customer service to be outstanding ( I think BB1 has addressed this issue a few times
). As all we can do is bring them in the door, it is the casinos that need to keep them playing. Team work

InactiveBy the way,
Posting emails – As it is copywrite material and unless permission is giving by orginal sender, they do have the right to sue. Just something I learned from my copywrite attorney on another issue awhile back.October 18, 2004 at 12:50 am #656396Anonymous
InactiveThank you for coming back to post, Gareth.
I wasn’t asking you to “monitor” here so you can reply to questions – that is what member programs do here because they find it more expeditious.
Still, you can pop in sometimes and contribute to any topic you may feel you have something to contribute to. This is a community, not a place with opposite parties – i.e. managers versus affiliates. We like to just mingle and listen to each other.
