InactiveI don’t want to give too much attention to this thread which is already quite busy however i must address Stupid’s ‘define proof’:
1/ I know quite a few affiliates that have hundreds of websites sites.
2/ This affiliate is using for each site a different affilaite ID true. The reason is very simple – and Stupid, you finally gonna learn something here:
a. each site has different position where it sends traffic from. i.e. a top banner, a main banner, a popunder etc… and everything is tracked using profiles. So for each site, a different aff ID but same profile names.
b. how to check the stats? well it’s very simple: the affiliate has a master affiliate account under which he has hundreds of affiliate accounts. therefore, by checking one account he can actually see all his other accounts stats.
Anyway, you seem quite experienced with ‘profiles’ which is a term only used with playtech aff programs: which playtech casino do you represent?
3/ I’ll be glad to know which reputable aff program managers are “confirming” this information.
4/ Affiliates are suspecting other things that aren’t necesseraly true.Let me all ask you something: most of you have worked with me for several years. Does my high profile at all affiliate conferences throughout the world , the trust that i’ve worked hard to achieve over several years, and my personal dedication in creating a transparent and honest affiliate program mean nothing to my critics here?
I notice that a lot of people are willing to believe Mr Stupid without questioning his credibility, background etc… especially as Mr Stupid joined only a few days ago the CAP… and the only thread started was this one… and he has not published his websites or told us which programs he promotes despite being extremely familiar with our industry terminology.
Happy holidays for those still celebrating (you know who you are) :rasta:
See you in London/Ice for our usual party!!

InactiveI think pretty much everything has been said here.
I wouldn’t be at all opposed to a discussion of the general concept of affiliate programs spawning portals, how it affects us, whether it is ethical, whether we like it and if we don’t, what’s to be done about it.
It’s a viable topic and a situation that affects us all.
I do believe that belongs in a seperate thread now. This one is done. The topic is a general one, once we settle how we feel about it we can investigate the individual programs.
Stupid, would you like to start a new thread? Or anyone else of course!

So for each site, a different aff ID but same profile names.I personally have 3 different affiliate ids with Laurent for different reasons all legit. If I needed to track each website to have more data ( like knowing exactly which site gets the depositing players), then I am sure laurent would do that for me as well. Which would be a couple hundred. Personally to much work involved on my end for that
.I am sure Laurent is happy to have those positions on someones website in top listings, as would any affiliate manager. I personally have found Laurent to be a respectable affiliate manager, running a decent program. I can not say the same for some other Playtech programs.
I don’t agree with the spamming done by the websites. Accusing casinopartners of doing it without proof it is them isn’t right either.

InactiveI thought my previous post was the last on this thread (sorry dominique) but i just got a very interesting information that led me to link Mr Stupid to to one of our affiliate and eventually to a website.
Mr Stupid who used to be, until the last “yahoo update”, #1 for the query ‘online casinos’ has dropped to #5 due to the other affiliate.Do I need to spell it out why he wants you to complain about the 4 sites that are placed above his?
So now you guys all know what his true motivations are i.e. for you to waste your time to make him money.
To complete this riddle visit his site (http://www.onlinecasinohelper.com) and reveal who the “mystery affiliate manager” was that he referred to…
Best,
Laurent

GuestI jumped to conclusions too quickly.
If Lou and Krystal say Casino Partners has a good reputation and they promote them, then they are ok with me.
I appologize. Sorry Laurent. :unhappy:

InactiveOk Laurent,
point taken.
We won’t get involved in feuds between programs.
The topic of programs spawning portals is still a valid one, but should be discussed in general in another thread, as I said previously.
I don’t want to see this thread turn into a flame now – what happens between two aff programs is not really our business here.
PS. I want to take the opportunity to remind aff programs that they can have a private forum section anytime – just for the asking.

InactiveYeah, I wish…
Nice try of getting around the question – EVEN IF those sites are not your – you approve such a use of spam?

InactiveStupid, I have asked Laurent to leave things be for now. I am asking you the same thing.
If you want to pursue the topic of programs generating portals, please start a new post and keep it general.
