GuestHere’s another one: socoplan.org
looks exactly like gold-online-casinos.com]
Thanks for the heads up, Stupid.
I don’t promote this group because I had already heard enough negative things about CasinoPartners. I hope other follow suit.
:grunt:

vladcizsolMemberAre we sure they are the owners of these sites? Are they Affiliate doorways? I know that one of the world biggest spammers cranks out tons of entry “portals” for 888 and Playtech casinos. Lets ask Laurent ….

InactiveThis trend is very, very disturbing.

InactiveOh, yeah, it’s them alright. I have spoken with a few managers of other affiliate programs, and they are all pissed off about it.
And, Professor, with all due respect, you dont expect Laurent to come out and say: “Oh, yeah, we created over 100 websites so we could get the top SE positions and you guys would eat rat!”
Plus, if you think about it – who in their right mind would have only one aff. program on ALL of his/her websites?
And I thought that grandonline.com and goldenpalace.com having top position for “online casino” on Google sucked, but this is a whole new ball game…

InactiveChange what rules? Does someone’s terms and conditions say they won’t build their own websites? If not, then what is the issue here?
Cryp owns Winner Online. So?

vladcizsolMemberLets have Spearmaster look these over … I am curious about a few things…

InactiveClassics,
Talking about winneronline.com and that bunch of spammy websites is apples and oranges…And I was talking about the “unwirtten” rules of the game – do not go behind the gambling webmasters – if it wasnt for us (I am not big webmaster, but I like being a part of a group) none of these online casinos would ever see a player. We made them, and they owe us by shearing the wealth. As a reference you can look at the GPWA for example about the spyware other aff. programs used.
Plus, I cannot say that online gambling is illegal, but it’s deffinitelly not bonded by any legal regulations, so all the rules are “unwritten”, and the only thing you could do with the “Terms and Conditions” of evey aff. program and casino is to wipe after :grunt:Let’s leave the comunity decide if these are fair tactics or not…

InactiveWell, if it’s one thing I learned, you shouldn’t go around assuming and accusing. I am interested in finding out if this is a valid issue.

Whether T&C’s say so has nothing to do with wheter it is ethical, whether we like it or whether we have to sit still for it.
IMO it is unethical, I don’t like it, I have spoken up about the concept before, and I am not sitting still for it.

InactiveWell it looks like there are affiliate tags present:
redir.cgi?id=N&member=goldoc&profile=main
Here is the whois lookup for one site listed:
Registrant: Atlantida Marketing 871, Tech Centre Kowloon, na na Costa Rica
Registered through: GoDaddy.com (http://www.godaddy.com)
Domain Name: GOLD-ONLINE-CASINOS.COM
Created on: 17-Mar-04 Expires on: 17-Mar-05
Last Updated on: 20-Dec-04
Administrative Contact: Manager, System [email protected] Atlantida Marketing 871, Tech Centre Kowloon, na na Costa Rica 341272222
Technical Contact: Manager, System [email protected] Atlantida Marketing 871, Tech Centre Kowloon, na na Costa Rica 341272222 Domain servers in listed order: NS0.DNSMADEEASY.COM NS1.DNSMADEEASY.COM NS2.DNSMADEEASY.COM NS3.DNSMADEEASY.COM NS4.DNSMADEEASY.COMSo maybe not? But if an affiliate program does decide to open their own portals, it would be unethical.

InactiveHaving an affiliate tag doesnt mean anything – they have to track the performance of their websites.
Actually, all of these websites have a different, yet simillar affiliate ID – advice-online-casinos.com for example is
http://banner.europacasino.com/cgi-bin/redir.cgi id=N&member=adviceoc&profile=main
Obiously all these websites are owned by one person/company, so how come an affiliate pogram lets a person open over 100 different affiliate accounts????????Yeah, this thing smells fishyyyyyy…

InactiveThose who have work with casino partners for a long time, and have known me personnally know that our marketing tactics have always been fair toward the affiliate community. ie. our anti spyware policy.
unlike others casino groups, we’ve never owned and optimized any websites as we always felt that it was our affiliates job to do it. Over the last 3 years we’ve worked with some of the best search engine optimizers and have had extremely good relationships with most of them. This guy is one of them. The sites that you see on yahoo don’t belong to us our our clients. They belong to an affiliate that has done an incredible job in getting those positions.
What i’ve been reading in this thread is quite worrying as without any evidences you’re accusing us of :
1/ building and owning websites
2/ going behind your back
3/ using unfair tacticsAgain:
1/ we don’t own those sites neither did we build them
2/ So we’re not going behind your back
3/ unfair tactics? anyone can setup 10000 sites and spam any search engine. i don’t see how that could be fair or unfair.Sorry if you’re bothered about a few guys being capable of achieving such results. It’s only up to you to go out there and compete with them.

InactiveWhat’s your point here? Anyone can have several affiliate accounts as long as:
1/ it’s for a good reason – and in this case there is a very good reason for that.
2/ it’s been approved by myself or one of my employees.
3/ i have quite a few affiliates using different affiliate accounts – i’m sure that if you look arround you’ll find them.December 27, 2004 at 10:45 pm #659312
vladcizsolMemberThanks Laurent
Guys its never good to jump the gun and make assumptions. I had a feeling this was an affiliate portal. That SEO group is VERY well known, by the way and they tend to create a focused portal similar to what you see. They have hundreds of them.
