InactiveJust got off phone to Yali at casino coins. Told him that I wanted a landing page for affiliate without advertising the cd’s
He said the cd’s convert well but affiliates do not get credit for it. Said he cant do that.
So when I asked for that to be removed off the affiliate page ( advertisement for cd’s ) He said ” NO WAY” he would not do it.March 15, 2004 at 9:20 pm #646268Anonymous
InactiveThat does it.
I am doing a big update tomorrow and all oddson are coming off my sites.
I don’t know why I waited so long.
If he does this to you, Krystall, he will surely not listen to anyone else.

GuestHi,
I just wanted to say about “certified programs” that the fact of the matter is that communication is always an advantage to all parties involved no matter how bad the circumstance.
Not too mention the Prof has the right to make a dime like any of the rest of us and though its true that CC sucks for most of us; myself included; (I’ve almost completely got that no-hunting dog off my sites) that there might still be a few out there that are making money with them; that would appreciate a place like CAP to be able to talk to the program managers.
Now that said; perhaps it should be made clear to all newbies that a certified program means its one that meets a defined “loose” set of requirements to be determined by the man who owns CAP but does not mean these programs are without fault or many faults.
I mean; CC does at least pay what their crappy stats show: right? there are many programs that don’t even do that.
Or perhaps for every program that is given their own thread there should be a “sticky” that more or less says, ” to find out the opinions of the masses that visit this site; – which are also webmasters – click on this link – taking them into the private area where people can after a nice editor’s note stating these are individual opinions which are allowed so that the person reading the thread can help make up their own mind about whether to promote the sponsor in question at the time. – that we can be free to pat on the back or the butt as the case may seem fit.
I would guess it is the Prof’s intention by “certified” to at least keep out the worst of the worst – because lets face it; ain’t none of them run by sunday school teachers or decendants of Abe Lincoln.
If he isn’t careful during the process of weeding out the bad: he’ll find himself in a position I constantly find myself; with only 3 casinos to promote. <- jus kiddin' in an exaggeration but you know what I mean.

vladcizsolMemberI talked to Connie today and advised her certification for Casino Coins was on hold until they made some progress on the following issues:
Communication with affiliates – On message boards, via emails or support requests and via telephone. I told her that one of the positive things John and Cedrik did was being active with commuincation. Since John left I felt that communication had suffered and I wanted to see it at least return to the previous levels if not get better. I told her that a big part (and requirement) of being a certified member here at CAP was to respond to querries on the message boards in a timely manner and not to hide and just call people on the phone only when there was no other way out. This is something that needs to be worked on and I hope we can get her out of her shell. Please don’t beat her too soundly while we try to get her out of her shell. I think she really is concerned that she will be beaten up if she answers controversial posts. Lets try to deal with her firmly on issues without being too imitimidating. If she cant take the heat of the kitchen thats another story, but I do want to giver her a fair chance to improve.
Tracking issues – Let’s have a real dialogue on tracking issues and concerns. This is to be done in the open where everyone can see what problems do exist and whats being done to correct them.
CDs and how they are distributed – We are working on a reasonable solution where they dont steal our players with unmarked CDs via the landing pages or private solicitations of exisiting players. This is a VERY important issue and one that so far Casino Coins has sent mixed signals on.
That’s where we are at for now regarding their application for certification. I told Connie merely pledging there would be improvements was not enough. “Show me, don’t tell me” was my position.
If I see real improvements over the next few weeks we will revisit certification. If nothing happens then we leave things the way they are.
Thats where we are at.

InactiveIt would take a lot of convincing for them to get me to put them back up.
With me, they have zero credibility.

InactiveA W E S O M E professor ….
I think that was the right move – sorry bout last week – when I seen they were about to get the “certified” label I tripped.
Hopefully (but I doubt it) they will make the right moves to improve their relationships with ALL affiliates.

InactiveGreat move Professor!
It is Casino Coins best interests to correct the problems that we all are aware of. If they don’t CC want or their casinos will not existed this time next year.

Inactive60k!!!!!!!
My record was 35k. And damn do i ever miss those old days.

vladcizsolMemberYeah I remember those days. I think I peaked out around $29K with Coins, but when you threw in Referback, Captain Cooks iGlobal and Tradal (at that time) I used to regularly break the magic $100K mark each month….
Ohhh if I only had a time machine….

InactiveLou,
Like everyone else, CC sucks eggs for me.
The only reason I even deal with them is for the sake of my personal relationship with Connie. This brings me to my point:
If you want… and if you think it’s a good idea… I can really press your list of concerns to Connie and “what’s his name” when I see them in Amsterdam. We’re supposed to have dinner… so I could get a free meal and piss them off all at once! :p
Yer call…

vladcizsolMemberThanks Integrity
I have talked to Connie probably three times a week. Plus Krystal and Captain have also been talking to her and Yali fairly steadily. I think they understand theres a problem and the ball is pretty much in their court.I suppose another voice of reason wouldnt hurt though so I would let them know your input too.

InactiveAt this juncture I have to say it’s too little too late and they are being yanked off all my pages as I type.
I will watch – but I do not trust them – not with a penny or a visitor.
March 17, 2004 at 5:10 pm #646382Anonymous
InactiveI am personally removing them from most all my pages as well..
Since a comment Yali made told me just how he felt about affiliates.
His comment was
” I dont know why I have to change my marketing methods to please affiliates”This was to do with the CD advertisement on the frontpages of the casinos websites. So it is clear he does not want to work with affiliates at all….
