InactiveIncredible to think that CC used to be at the forefront of the industry and now keeps going down the slippery slope to oblivian … I am not sure that Connie alone will get them back up.

GuestI agree but you know there’s others that fit that mold as well and they’re all still slipping down the slope.
RB comes to mind, but I think they are trying to turn it around.
an old haunt (message board) for most of us webmasters also comes to mind.
And with each of the above; their downfall was for the most part; forseen by the masses and they all were warned in their own way, but refused to listen to the very people that put them where they were.
I remember (and I bet I’m not the only one by far) that wrote CC and said (basically): “what the hell do you think you’re doing? You practically dominate this industry and now you’re going to throw it all away rather than to admit you might have made a mistake? “
Because that’s what it comes down to. If CC had after about 6 months of seeing how bad things were going to be; if they had just went back to Microgaming (I know its too late now, even if the relationship was to be mended) but if they had went back and wrote all their former players stating as such; they’d still be at the top because that is how far they had climbed to begin with.
Crap I can remember when you couldn’t visit a gambling portal without seeing CC’s casinos all over the first page, now you’re unlikely to find them on 1 out of ten first pages.
And RB; well there’s a lot of things wrong there; but if they’d all been addressed one at a time when RB had the chance; they’d not have so far to climb now. We tried and tried to get them to address very serious (to us) issues that seemed to fall only on deaf or at best, uncaring ears.
and in the case of our old haunt; well there’s a saying out of the east (can’t remember which country) that goes something like: what good is it to catch the crook if in the process you break everything in the house?

I think this requires a bit of explanation.

InactiveMy experience with CC is much the same as many of the above posters … like the devils advocate Im lucky to see 1-2 players every 3-4 months …
I was recently contacted by them asking for additional exposure – about a year ago that was big with them – they almost demanded top exposure or they wouldn’t pay.
IMHO their stats are very inaccurate – I only have them on half a dozen or so sites so I don’t send loads of traffic, but the amount I do send converts very well with other programs. Furthermore the number of hits they show is always much, much lower than what my stats show I have sent.
I have come to the conclusion that coins is using a hit quota and until they show me the money I will not show them any more traffic.
I understand they are about to become a “certified member” – not in my book anyway …

InactiveCasino Coins has no morals.
Granted, the effort to expulse me from the GPWA on the basis of my extorting money from Casino Coins was launched on a Friday evening, knowing that Casino Coins had Canadian holidays coming up and could not be reached for comments until the following Wednesday. This way it was impossible for anyone to contact them and find out if the accusation was actually true.
However, when they did return that Wednesday, their lawyer told them to make no comment one way or another.
This after I practically trained John for them since Cedrik had left with only giving John two days of training, and they had begged me to do so, and promised to pay for it.
They did not pay for it, and they hung me out to dry.
They left me with the stigma of the slander and libel comitted against me so their good name did not get drawn into an affiliate dispute.
I am not a friend of Casino Coins. I used to be, and I am quite a loyal person. I even refrained from making this public, with all the abuse I endured because of it.
But my good friends here at CAP deserve to know the truth.
Meanwhile John and his boss are gone, and the only person still familiar with the situation is Cedrik from Gaming Income. He knows the truth, as do a few of the major Casino Coins affiliates.
Casino Coins has no ethics, morals or loyalty.
And their conversions suck.

…But my good friends here at CAP deserve to know the truth. My sentiments exactly … I view this site as an informational resource to affiliates and more so to “newbie” affiliates. Thus ALL available information needs to be disseminated to everyone and to do this requires access e.g. public areas.
I fully understand the necessity to acquire funding, but the title of “certified” should be reserved for the upper echelon of affiliate programs. I have no idea as to what criteria is applied to potential candidates, but as an informational resource I believe it should be CAP’s duty to apply stringent guidelines/criteria for acceptance if the title of “certified” is going to be utilized.
When I posted in the public forums about members having issues with the program it was my intent to notify the public – I didn’t quote anything or anyone … I merely stated that I believed some individuals had issues with the accuracy of their stats.
This is my opinion and I mean no harm to the site – it’s not personal it is based in providing quality service to unsuspecting individuals (newbies.) Hell most, if not all of the senior affiliates have formed opinions about almost all programs – we are not the ones at risk – it’s the new webmasters coming to CAP for information that are at risk.
That was my #1 biggest gripe with GPWA – they (she) started allowing anyone in so long as they were willing to front the money. Never thought Id need to vent here …

InactiveArkyt my friend,
I know that the professor is reconsidering admitting Coins. The posts both in the public area and in here have caused him already to reconsider. He expressed this to me yesterday.
The post I made about coins is not something I want to do in public – or I would have long done so. If I did, it may refuel that whole mess, and I am not interested in doing that. I just want my friends to know the truth, and what happened between me and Coins is really no one else’s business in the first place, nor was it ever.
I do appreciate having a private area where I can speak freely – and it is really much different from GPWA since the majority of posts and people are not in the private area but in the public one.
I think that is better, most things should be read by everyone. But – I do value our private area here too.
The outside post about coins is not exactly friendly to them and mirrors what we say in here as sentiment.
I don’t think anyone minds your thumping them on the head.

Publically or privately. But what is said in here should just stay here too, so for instance I can feel free to make a post like the one I made about coins not having any morals.
And while I am at it, I amend that post by stating that they also have no integrity. You don’t withhold payment AFTER someone performed the work. And you don’t watch silently while someone who has helped you a lot suffers from something you could clear up with one sentence.
Shame on you, coins!
PS. I just noticed that this is my 1000ths post!

vladcizsolMemberArkyt I have no problem whatsoever if you crucify Coins in the public areas. Quite frankly I am very concerned about their behavior over the last week and am probably going to reject their application for certification.
What I objected to and warned you about is making a reference to discussions in the private areas. As long as you don’t start things out by saying “In the private areas we have been saying…” Or anything to that effect then I am fine with you warning the public about them.
One of the biggest problems we had at GPWA was the fact that when we DID have private discussions they were made visible to the programs as a way of currying favor with the aff managers. Or the private threads were moved to a semi private area to make webmasters look bad whil again winning brownie points for management. We are doing our best to ensure those sort of shenanigans dont go on here. Thats all.

InactiveCasino Coins ( use to be a decent program )
I contacted both Connie and Yali ( Yali is connie’s boss )
My Concerns were.
1) Cd order form listed on there site. Yali’s response was that no affiliate gets credits for cd’s order ( which heard that was about 1000 cd sent out per week).
2) Stats no correct. Yali’s response ” It is normal for our program to loose 20% of traffic sent”
3) High Roller all of sudden not playing. Could not get a good response on this more like they tried to avoid the question. This was a player that has been loyal for 2 1/2 years and never went more than a couple days playing. Which right now it has been 2 weeks.
4) New player sign ups. Both Yali and Connie’s response. ” We will send your players a cash drop, in other words free money”
5) Trying to get out our good side. Yali and Connies incentative ” We will give you $ for each new player you bring in”
On #5 why would you need to offer affiliates a CPA if your casinos were tracking correct and players were converting as they should.6) Cross promoting – Are we getting credit for this?
7) Platinum software- Are we getting credit when they upgrade?
Why do they have the lowest conversation rate per download?Personally I am still making decent money with them, however I feel games are being played and I hate games. So I am considering dropping them due to these reasons.

InactiveThis takes the cake!
I just went to Casino Coins and checked my “hits referrer report” for today.
Guess what I found? A hit that belongs to somebody named Warren.
Two of the hits had the aff code in the referrer section – and one was mine, the other was Warren’s.
This is the first time ever I have actually come across real proof of funny business in the stats!
I took a screen shot.
I would be interested to see if others have this too.
March 14, 2004 at 10:06 pm #646238Anonymous
InactiveAnd looking at that report some more, there are numbers assigned to the casinos.
And which casino would be 0 ????
