Thanks for all your support through e-mail and telephone calls. MOST OF YOU ARE TELLING ME YOU’RE STILL COMING.

Let me clear up some things:

    1) THE EVENT IS STILL GOING ON AS PLANNED.

    2) Apart from Lou, all of the speakers are confirmed to speak at the event after calling them today. Only 2 have not answered our calls and are out of the office. So the Agenda is still booked. Site Scraping will still be discussed.

    3) We do have some cancellations from exhibitors. Of those that have cancelled, some are not coming. Most are still attending.

    4) We are honoring all sponsored affiliate passes for this event, including those of the programs that have cancelled.

Those thinking of fantastical situations should be more realistic. This event is at the Stardust, on the strip in Las Vegas. A land based casino would not want some form of negative press and would make it clear to those in power to refrain from it.

    Mark,

Regardless of how ridiculous this situation may seem, there are some people that are legitimately concerned and do not want to take the risk. I realize you will not give any refunds, but would you be willing to instead offer those affiliates who paid for their own conference pass, the ability to exchange it for a pass to the Amsterdam conference? You have continuously told us that almost all affiliates are sponsored anyway, so there shouldn’t be many of us (especially those who are able to actually go to Amsterdam) but it would be a great showing of goodwill towards your customers. I look forward to your response.

We’re dealing with an immediate degree of uncertainty here. I want to see how the event pans out next week. Then I can make decisions about the future. Right now I can not.

In the meantime, our terms and conditions still stand.

I can tell you this: Both my heart and soul will be touched by those that exhibit and attend. I’ll remember who they are and will do right by it.

:capmiami: I won’t be going to CAC this year in Vegas although I got a pass from vegaspartner.com. I gave the pass back to them – A $500 Value? Can you believe it? I’m not really sure if I won the pass, or they just gave it to me. I guess, because I make a bunch of money, $500 to me is considered a drop in the bucket. Maybe I should have kept it and tried to sell it for $200. Would there have been any buyers for $200? Does anyone know if the ticket is transferable?

My lawyer just told me. If you on some list, you cant hide. If you not coming feel free to give me your pass if it can be transferd

If they want you arrested, they will get you at your home, they dont have to wait for you to step foot in Vegas.

    Marc,
All of us at StinkyFishPoker will be in attendance and are looking forward to a GREAT week. I hope all that are coming enjoy themselves, and look forward to seeing you at our party on Thursday.

The US government so far has only been nabbing foreigners exiting the country. I am more worried about being stopped at the airport on the way back then actually being nabbed while at the conference. This is why it doesn’t matter for us international folk whether or not the stardust dissaproves of a raid there.

I will not be attending the conference, i will decide tommorow whether or not I go to vegas. I was supposed to fly out on the 10th.

In my opinion and in the opinion of the person I care about the most even if there’s a .1% possibility of being arrested then that percentage is too high.

If anyone wants to give up their paid hotel room at the Wynn, I will take it off your hands free of charge.

This would cost them more money than just nabbing everybody they can at once.

Also, if the gov’t is in it with the press, why don’t people of the industry get to the press first?

As for rooms / hotels. I’m up to taking anybody’s room if they can’t cancel and get their money back. I could give you a couple bucks too if you want. I have a room at Stardust, but I’d love to experience the Wynn, Ceasars, Mandalay Bay, Venetian, etc.
