I am curious why you are informing eCOGRA that you are suspending affiliate accounts?

Don’t know where you heard they are, but if so, maybe because I may have not been the only one bombarding eCOGRA with complaints about this for the last few months.

Are you actually reading these post or just skimming and then posting?

    Hello all,

Here is a brief update on actions taken against three affiliates who were reported to us recently:

    1. On June 4th Dominique reported the following misbehavior on one of our affiliates: http://661.h1az41.info/
    http://www.pacificpoker.com/PokerInstaller?s=111111111111111111&sr=332606&lang=en

On June 5th we sent the affiliate a warning to cease this activity immediately.
Since the affiliate’s action did not cease, on June 7th we blocked and suspended the affiliate’s account. We then emailed Dominique to update her on the action taken.

    2. On March 14th, Mark Lesnick reported the following misbehavior of one of our affiliates:
    http://intercasino.freehostonline.com
    http://www.golden-palace-casino.150m.com

On March 14th, we sent the affiliate a warning to cease this activity immediately and he did.

We received another complaint today, June 29th, from Dominique and we immediately blocked and suspended the affiliate’s account and informed him of that action. We will email Dominique to update her on the action taken within 72 hours.

    3. On June 1st, Dominique reported the following misbehavior on one of our affiliates to E-Cogra:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=link+www.gamesandcasino.com&hl=en&lr=&start=30&sa=N
    http://1678.radikale-vinderup.dk/

On June 6th, we blocked and suspended this affiliate’s account and notified ECogra of the action taken.

Please send us any other evidence of misbehaving affiliates to: reportspam@888.com and we will be happy to investigate.

    Regards,
    Shelly

Folks, I pretty much stay in the background in much of the workings and postings of CAP activities. I’m not as gifted as most of you folks are in affiliate promotions. However, I stick with it just the same. 888 Casino did not get to this stage voluntarily. They resisted all previous attempts to attend to this matter as they were asked to repeatedly. The only thing that brought them to their currant position was the action this forum was forced to implement.

Do we erase all the efforts it took to bring them to the table and do the right thing? I don’t think that is a wise choice. I think that all those postings about 888.com in our web pages should stay intact and updates posted as required progress is made. For those who argue we are continuing a war I disagree. Leaving those postings intact sends a message to other affiliates and affiliate programs that if you partake in the same advertising campaigns and behavior with disregard to the consequences you will eventually have to deal with us at some point and time.

During all the above campaign by these rogue affiliates and 888.com many of our members lost revenue which will never be regained by any future actions 888.com presents. Their rogue affiliates and they profited pretty good while the getting was good. If we are forced to implement a campaign against any affiliate program to bring them to the tables to do the right thing then this should be the price and consequence that affiliate program should be required to pay. There should be no free pass if we have to take the action we were forced to implement against 888.com.

I’m not saying we should run their name into the ground and crush them out of existence. On the contrary. If they continue to cooperate then sure lets promote and continue to work with them. But, let’s not let them or anybody else forget what it took to get them there. For other affiliate programs that think they can over look the actions their affiliates use to bring them traffic and profits let these postings serve as lesson of what can happen if they persist in their thinking

Do these two qualify as spam?

    1) http://intercasino.freehostonline.com
    2) http://www.golden-palace-casino.150m.com

The affiliate (oor affiliates, I think they are the same) posted these sites on my message boards and I let 888.com know about it (by phone and e-mail) on March 14, 2006.

If they are, then you guys should report them to the reportspam@888.com, and see what happens.

I was on the phone with Partnerlogic and Golden Palace first when I saw this, and found out they were 888.com affiliates. Needless to say Partnerlogic and Golden Palace were not thrilled.

I hope some top se and marketing techies have virtually scrubbed the net to find these bad folk for yourselves (888) Shelly.

Greek has a job to do I am sure. So have other affs & blog writers etc. Enough time already has been spent by many to get you (888) to listen, when it should have taken no time.

A press release should have been issued, asking the general public to report the bad guys, because you (888) don’t want to be associated with the bad guys anymore I gather?

    Update:

888 has removed all the links from SEOBlackhat.com, and no longer works with them.

Well that is one “aggressive marketing” tool 888 is willing to give up. But I wonder what the other ones are doing? I will have to confirm this latest developement.

Shelley I will be sending in some information today. It appears this will be a long drawn out process. greek39^*

These are some of the worst that I have experienced. It is my understanding that these are search engines that 888 works with on a pay per click basis. So the owner of the search engine scrapes our content and 888 pays them for the hits. I was told by Ben that a conference call was to be coordinated but I have not heard anything since. I am not holding my breath. They say affiliate accounts have been closed and as much as I would like to believe this, I know how easy a work around is and the fact is we really just have to take their word that the affiliate account is closed, and with all the money involved I just cant see it being as simple as this. I hope I am wrong but I am certainly suspect. There is a whole lot of money involved here. But I am glad to see the effort they are putting in and I hope eventually we can put this nightmare behind us. All this has really taken the fun out of this business for me.
