Boy do I hate having to make this post!
It appears that some or several microgaming programs are going to follow Grand Prive in implementing “Single Sign ON”
This is a VERY NASTY policy that will shrink comissions to next to nothing.
In essence, if you send a player to any casino in a group, and this player has never played at any other casino in that group, you will be paid but only for play at the original casino.
From thereon, the player is considered the property of the casino group and neither you nor anyone else will be paid for play at any of the casinos except the original one.
In other words, they will cross-promote the player and pocket all tye comissions.
Let it be known, I am in the process of removing Grand Prive from all positions.
No matter how money I make with any group at this time, no matter how many players I have there, and no matter the relationship, any microgaming going that route will disappear from my sites overnight.
I will not put up with this, I will not waste any additional players on any such program, and I will make all the noise I can all over the net about it.
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Ditto and nuff said!!
January 21, 2008 at 4:40 pm #759099giftorgbestMemberI hope Grand Prive Affiliate and other microgaming program reconsider it. Indeed this is harming affiliates and it is an unfair term.
January 21, 2008 at 4:45 pm #759100AnonymousInactiveI’m removing Grand Prive from it’s top position at my sites as we speak. I don’t have the time to completely remove them from everywhere before my trip to CAP Euro London, but they will be gone as soon as I get back.
I’ll also be removing any program that goes this route in the future. Anyone that goes along with this is totally misguided IMO.
January 21, 2008 at 4:53 pm #759102biggygMemberadd me to the list too

Will you tell us what other programs are considering this option.
January 21, 2008 at 4:59 pm #759105AnonymousInactiveThat I don’t know, and hopefully we will never find out who all is considering it now.
I am not fooling around with this, and anyone joining Grand Prive will face the same fate.
Grand Prive states that we will be surprised to see how many micros are going to follow suit.
I certainly hope they will think very hard before they do.
January 21, 2008 at 5:23 pm #759107AnonymousInactiveHello,
I’m relatively new to the casino market since I thought that I’d expand my sports book site. Because of this new policy, I’d like to remove all the casinos that use Microgaming software from my site. Is there a list that shows the casinos using such a policy?
January 21, 2008 at 5:23 pm #759108AnonymousInactiveI doubt smart affiliates would promote such programs. And the newbies would not generate them valuabale traffic so i think they should reconsider even though i do not promote them.
I hope the main microgaming affiliate programs that we all like dont do the same
January 21, 2008 at 5:25 pm #759109AnonymousInactiveThanks for the info – I saw bonustreak’s post in the GrandPrive forum about it too..
Never too sure whether or not to believe what anyone from GP says anymore lol but of course time will tell..
I’ve had Grand Prive on the lowest/minimal exposure on my sites since they started with the new program which has been part of an overall decline of that group in my mind – first they messed with the players, then the affiliates and well they’ll probably learn their lesson too late ..
There’s plenty more nice casinos and programs to promote and wouldn’t miss them at all!
I’ll not expect a decent response from them as so far, it’s usually how they are listening bla bla bla but haven’t seen any positive actual ACTION from them in, well, years now!
Let’s hope that if they DO go for SSO that they give credit to the affiliate that referred the account (like Referback and others do when cross-promoting).. it’s all possible technically – just a choice of right and wrong imo.
Cheers all,

January 21, 2008 at 5:41 pm #759112AnonymousInactiveSometimes it’s hard for me to understand the degree of greed haunting some of these groups. Can’t they just be content with having affiliates that drive valuable traffic and generate good revenues for them in return for a fair share of the profits? What’s so outrageous about this arrangement? Why do they have to come up with ever new tricks to minimize commissions?
January 21, 2008 at 5:44 pm #759113PaolinoMemberMany thanks for highlighting this, Dominique,
As it happens I was going to promote a couple of those casinos on one of my new sites I’m about to launch
I won’t be considering them now…
January 21, 2008 at 5:55 pm #759114AnonymousInactiveDom – are you sure about this – surely it is only a rumour? It just doesn’t make sense to me that casino groups would do this unless they have decided they don’t need affiliates any longer. I don’t usually doubt you but this idea is plain stupid when you think about it and I would be incredibly surprised – actually, make that dumbfounded – if any casino groups do this. I know a lot have tried to reduce affiliate costs in the past in some, er, “questionable” ways, but they really aren’t this stupid. Sorry but I don’t buy it unless, as I say, they have decided they don’t need affiliates anymore. There are far better ways to reduce overheads than to alienate your marketing people.
