mad Important- Affiliate? Using Copied Content With Redirect

Hey Everyone,
It has been brought to my attention that a major affiliate promoting one group of casinos is stealing content from many webmasters here and then doing redirects to their main page promoting their casinos only. This webmaster scumbag is currently in high positions. If this practice is not stop imediately then I think everyone here that is affected should list/name and shame.

I want this person named and shamed, regardless of identity, unless the practice stops immediately!

We certainly have to fight back against such immoral conduct!

Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention, Captain!

Report them to google, cloaking is against googles acceptable practices policy.

Hi Captain,

I read your 2 posts here about stealing search engine traffic. This is not professional behaviour. I think we should report here all these scams.

Trying to achieve good positions on search engines is hard work, trying to deliver a good service to users with appropriate content is hard work, achieving a well-know business name is hard work. Most people here dedicate more than 10 hours a day to all these things. All the scamers /free riders should be ashamed. They should concern with their life/website and try to do what we do instead of simply trying to appropriate traffic that does not belong them.

There is a stick post here on CAP: "The Role of an Affiliate Manager". I think it lacks one more thing. An affiliate manager should be aware and know where and how their casinos are being promoted. As promoting casinos on a page that tries to steal the work of months or even year of another person is not a good business practice, I think affiliate managers should concern about the issue and take some measures. If I'm an affiliate manager, I would not allow, under any circunstances, my casinos being promoted on such a scam. Achieving a good reputation is not easy and should not be destroyed in this way.

I strongly agree.

Affiliate managers should not allow this to happen. Any program allowing this to be done by their affiliates should be named, shamed, and in my case, I will boycott them and make sure everyone knows how they operate.

I am quite upset about this!

I guess if they were attempting to bribe one of the programs you would have a different view huh?

As you know several programs could care less about this type activity - specially if the affiliate is bringing in the money! Boycott huh? Going on a smear campaign huh? GEESH the more things change the more they stay the same.

What the heck is that supposed to mean? Why would anyone want to bribe a program?

Does this have to do with the affiliate itself buying key word advertising and competing directly against us?
