Sorry, this topic is not about how good Allan’s sites are.
March 6, 2005 at 12:45 pm #662512AnonymousInactiveYou know as a regular lurker I laugh at the constant pick and choose of what is said and who and when can be attacked depending on who it is doing it. I’ve noticed some people are allowed to say and go as far as they see fit with no reprecussions yet others get kicked off the site or publicly lynched.
Everyones points are very valid and if people are selectively banned for doing the same thing others who are not getting banned which is speaking their opinions then this site should no longer be called a community and instead it should be called a dictatorunity.
If you have so much issue with sites copying, spamming, or whatever else you all are bitching about then try going about things the official way.
Google has a special form you fill out: http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html
They review EVERY report filed and change their algorithms and indexes accordingly. Anyone who is spaming under google rules will immediatelay be banned and removed from their indexes and anyone who is breaking any of the guidelines will eventually lose all ranking and your site will over time improve..
So stop starting this waste of time fighting and just go to google and GETTIR DONE! Every report will be reviewed accordingly and by each of you who are accusing someone of doing something they are not supposed to reported the sites then in the end the good will come out ahead. That saves us all the stress and uneccesary drama…..all this touting, threatening, blackmailing, malicious name calling, ego battling, stupidness really can be avoided if you just went to the source of the problem and handled it…. to often people here are more interested in flashing their big egos and trying to show they got something mroe then others over little things that surely aren’t doing as much damage as made out to be… (And im not saying the stuff is okay it definately should stop but you get my point)
Thanks
March 6, 2005 at 1:49 pm #662513AnonymousInactiveHey Everyone,
This thread was not about about my sites in the beginning, and now due to some new former member was derailed. There are alot members here that are good friends and support each other. That is what CAP is about.I want to take this time to thank my friend Lou for his support and giving us all a place to meet.
Have a great weekend my good friends here at CAP.
March 6, 2005 at 4:20 pm #662521AnonymousInactiveWhat the Captain does is largely called optimizing and we all do it to some extent.
It has nothing at all to do with stealing traffic directly from other portals or with duplicating other people’s sites and trying to get them banned on the basis of that, especially on Yahoo, which is not accepting new gambling listings.
Fergie, so far I have been sympathetic to you and hoping for an eventual peaceful return. But what has transpired in this thread is seriously undermining any such situation.
I hope this thread will be getting back on it’s original target, it is very very important that we look at this situation closely. Many of us could get very hurt.
March 6, 2005 at 4:35 pm #662523AnonymousInactiveThank you Dom for your post. You are correct in all that you said. This is a very important thread and I do hope it gets back on track.
Again, have a great weekend all.
March 6, 2005 at 4:54 pm #662524AnonymousInactiveOK..due to other matters am behind..what is this all about? Fergie vs.CAP, or what? Link?
March 7, 2005 at 5:14 am #662559AnonymousGuestI have to echo Dom’s words.
While I don’t hold Fergie responsible for the actions of others, (even her daughter or partner), I do have to say that now is the time for you, Ferg, to step in and stop the feud before it goes any farther. Nothing good is going to come for any parties involved by signing up under different names and then coming in and starting trouble.
And if I knew that Fergie had anything to do with Jim’s post I would have to reconsider my high opinion of her.
And Jim, shame on you. First of all, try making sure you know what you’re talking about before you open your mouth. As Dom said, there is a distinct difference between spamming and optimizing. If you knew anything about anything concerning SEO, and if you didn’t have a hidden agenda, you’d not have made that silly post.
March 7, 2005 at 6:13 am #662563AnonymousGuestalmost forgot:
banning someone for a differnent opion is wrong.
I totally agree, but in this instance I think Lou spotted a lepard for a lepard and was just preventing more of the same.
*Meaning that the person signed up with intent to stir shit, and for no other reason.

ON A SIDE NOTE:
Dom, what I do when this happens is just flip off the modem, shut the windows spawning the pops, the turn the modem on again. Seems to work…

Question:
Does encryption not also hide your content from the SE’s?
So yes you are protected, but from what?
If you have no organic SE positions, all your loosing is the design.Or am I wrong?

You said:
especially on Yahoo, which is not accepting new gambling listings.
Since my first language is spanish, I will like to rephrase and question this.
You are saying that yahoo will NOT list online casino review sites or in other words sites that have something to do with online casino reviews and the gambling world?
I know that google adwords don’t accept online casino link advertising in there adwords campaign, but yahoo too?:Ohno:
If I am understanding this correctly, the only chance I have is paid advertising.
I must be missing something here, hopefully is NOT a stupid question.
This is my finding so far:
Online Gambling Sites: Yahoo! Search Submit does not accept URLs from online gambling sites. Online gambling sites are those that have gambling as their central theme, including those that accept wagers or require payment in exchange for the chance to win prizes, as well as sites that offer both information and links related primarily to the promotion of online gambling.
But that is yahoo search marketing, which now leads me to conclude that now, yahoo does NOT accept gambling sites in there sponsor listings. I’ve no problems with this, as I strongly believe that you can have a separate page without links and having visitors give you there email address and redirect them to your home page…but my question still remains:
Will they list your domain in there search engine for free ranking purposes?
