September 22, 2008 at 9:46 pm #779446AnonymousInactive…online gambling, which is illegal in all 50 states.
The misinformed…
“The owners and operators of these illegal sites prey on Kentucky citizens, including our youth, and deprive the Commonwealth of millions of dollars in revenue. It’s an underworld wrought with scams and schemes.”
…misinforming.
The type of crap that unfortunately people will happily believe.
September 22, 2008 at 9:47 pm #779447AnonymousInactiveUnlicensed Internet gambling significantly undermines and threatens horseracing, Kentucky’s signature industry and a key tourism industry, by creating unregulated and untaxed competition;
Sports that include horseracing would be my guess…
September 22, 2008 at 11:44 pm #779457AnonymousInactiveThey ordered the registrar to transfer the domains to the control of the state of Kentucky?
This begs the question are some registrars safer than others to house your domains at?

September 23, 2008 at 12:12 am #779462AnonymousInactivethats what i call crap journalism. the writer of this article should get a big fat ink spot on his CV for his ability to investigate and see beyond the obvious.
September 23, 2008 at 2:09 am #779469AnonymousInactiveWhat beyond the obvious needs to be seen? The government of Kentucky filed a motion to get control of the domains and a judge ruled in their favor. until that ruling is overruled, i’d say everyone the list, basically a ton of microgaming and RTG domains has a problem.
September 23, 2008 at 3:15 am #779473LassoMemberPoint-Spreads.com has also learned that the state of Kentucky has been monitoring the way 1st Technology was able to successfully grab the Bodog domain names and has put a plan in motion to seize 141 gambling operators domain names including the domains names WSEX.com, SportsBetting.com, PokerStars.com and FullTiltPoker.com just to name a few. Here is a complete list of domain names and a copy of the motion to seize domain names filed by the State of Kentucky this past Friday.
Internet gambling operators using United States based registrars to hold their domain name portfolios better look into transferring those domain names to a registrar in jurisdiction that licenses gaming companies fast. It is unknown at this time if Kentucky will be successful in its attempts to seize the domain names. Point-Spreads.com will continue to monitor this story as it unfolds.
List of domains is found here:

At least some of them are online gambling operators :
ultimatebet.com, virtualcitycasino.com, yukongoldcasino.com, pitbullpoker.com, doylesroom.com, casinoclassic.com, absolutepoker.com, allslots., fulltiltpoker.com, bigtimebingo.com(and many more – these are just the most obvious)
The automatic assertion that they’re sportsbetting related seems inaccurate to me.
:sarcasm:September 23, 2008 at 4:13 am #779478AnonymousGuestno doubt. what I didn’t see were aff sites, but then again I only recognized places I have heard of .
most notable for me
microgaming.com
allslots (jackpot factory group)
as mentioned the RA group
fortune group
list goes on…September 23, 2008 at 4:14 am #779480AnonymousGuestare all the 141 domains registered with a USA based registar ?
I bet they are scrambling to get them moved over
September 23, 2008 at 4:20 am #779481AnonymousInactivebible thumping hicks don’t they have anything to do!!! Sorry and no offense to my fellow Cap members that reside in Kentucky..grrrrrrr
Unlicensed Internet gambling significantly undermines and threatens horseracing, Kentucky’s signature industry and a key tourism industry, by creating unregulated and untaxed competition
Well there you go, they are losing money so big money horse owners are funding someone to go after these sites.
September 23, 2008 at 4:24 am #779482LassoMemberThe domain names cannot be moved right now. Operators that are not on the list should move their domain name portfolios to registrars located within a gaming friendly jurisdiction immediately in my opinion.
Everyone on the list has to fight the challenge from Kentucky at ICANN before the domain names can be transferred to new ownership or moved to new registrar.
