This is the conundrum of SERPs and SEO services, and this shows that the Google model is not sustainable. As the know-how to get in top ten spot gets more widespread, more and more people compete for top ten spots of the most lucrative keywords. And the winner (or top ten winners) is the one with the biggest budget.

Spending a bunch of money on SEO may (or may not!!!!!) get you there, but it won’t keep you there. You still need a quality site to stay there.
