Problem

ukpl4u asked 3 years ago
I moved my site to another server on sunday, now whan i go to google or yahoo search, the link is broken to my site. Question will they find my new server by themselfs, or do i have to re submit my site to the engines. I`m sure i have other questions but that will do it for now.. Infact all my links are broken, see link below

Cheers..

how often do the engines send out the spiders to crawl the web, and do they re index, because i have made changes to the keywords that i want the engines to pick up on. Cheers

That depends on the relevance of your site (at least with Google). A site like Yahoo that is a PR9 will be re-indexed every few hours. Your site is showing a PR0, which probably means you have just launched it. In this case, you could be waiting up to 3 weeks for Google to re-index you.

Google also has times when it just slows down – likely doing other updates. Most of the time I get them several times a day and sometimes once every other day.

I actually haven’t found much of a connection to PR once one is PR3.
