Ninja Pages

Diceman asked 3 years ago
Ok,

Some of you might relate…

I been making all kinds of pages for my site through out the years. Most I forget about and some like the main pages I always mess with. I always find it interesting when one of the forgot pages seems to jump out of nowhere (ninja) and present me with a supprise… like some of them will rank rather high on the search.

The problem really is… with what I do know about seo I cant get a main page to list for the death of me… however a page I have not touched in years or one with so many errors your not sure why they have no blocked it… all of a sudden shows up in the listing! The ones that dont show up…. like my main pages I then experiment with (a bit o this a bit o that) but usually for nothing.

Anyway what I would like to do is get a grip of understanding of what is going on so that I can dupe this on the pages that are important. I have some examples if anyone is interested in showing me the light so to speak. I have struggled with this for years and tried countless places to get info but most will shy away once they know its about gambling for some reason lol… SO I ask of my fellows to show me the way….. the way out of my own personal hotel California

I wish I knew too – but I suspect it is not even worth trying to understand why these random pages occasionally jump in importance. It is just the vagaries of the Google algos.

One of my most successful affiliate accounts is from a small UK casino which I never really promoted – yet somehow I make tons of money from it. I wish I could replicate that.

I made a few “ninja sites” about a year ago. With no “SEO”, they are ranking better that my main site.

I think the reason could be I am over optimizing for a particular keyword and getting a penalty.

This could be the case, however just a thought – rankings also have a tiny bit to do with page popularity too dont they?
So if your page suddenly gets a lot of traffic from the search engine (even if its on a few pages back) the SE may say ‘oh hey this page must be important again coz so many people are clicking on it after searching for XX XX XXXXX’

Long shot, i know. Thats the only constructive theory i could come up with..
