Okay… think back in time… those heroic old days when you started promoting casinos… now tell me… How long did it take you to hit your first real money player?

If you got the real player quite fast, please specify in this thread whether you started a new site or you started promoting casino’s on an other (non casino) website.

I am eager to see the results, as I am waiting for my first player! (Or better, the money associated…)

It took a month until I earned my first check. A whopping $.40 from planetluck. Month 2 I earned $8. Those 2 months I earned significantly more promoting firstlivecasino but they turned out to be a scam and I was never paid.

Nice story!

My story has to start yet but I know how I want to tell my story eventually:

“… about 20 years ago …. 3 generations of internet behind us … I started a crappy 2D site … I earn $25 000 of that alone now … financed 10 other ventures with it… sent my daughter to the moon with it (no, literally) … sailed the world around 3 years ago btw … ober, I need more champagne! … Cheez, it’s even hotter than last year here at the Cayman Islands!”

I am working on it!opcorn:

a wee bit of reading but this is my story –

I do pen and ink drawings and publish them and just bought a used lightning fast 286 which had a turbo button to get that added boost to 66mhz, downloaded callwave to not miss any calls, and am now ready to search the web for free web sites to sell my art online. This was March 1999.

Right away I found a bunch and read about 5 of them and decided on My Free Office.com. I liked how you can edit your pages yourself, but at first I used their templates. I had 4 different works of art so I started with 4 pages and they went live. I wanted to add some arts and crafts to the site and searched and WOW, found some what I learned were called portals of top 100 arts and crafts sites where I could advertise my site for FREE!! I am on my way. – Started thinking, how will I know how many people are coming to my site so I looked for counters. That’s when I found “Hitbox”. If they only knew what they were about to start.

Checking my stats(still in March) in Hitbox, which was great even back then, you learned everything about your visitors, placed at the top of their home page was a banner. Webmasters, own your very own casino and earn cash. WHOA:exclamati – I LOVE Casino’s but what in the world is a webmaster?? I clicked on the banner and read about the affiliate program(CAN). Went back to My Free Office and opened another free web site but 1st checked CAN to see what casino names were already chosen and I decided on Luckylady Casino. Called off work the next morning and spent the next 2 days “designing” my web site. Checking the coding I started to notice a pattern..ie., links always start with “a href” and end with /a along with the less than and more than brackets. I am NOW a webmaster.

I then started thinking, is this the only casino online(CAN)? So I did more searching and found more and guess what, I joined them all because I’m a webmaster! Then, I struck gold, still in March, a few top 100 portals for gambling and I advertised on all I could find and found I-web marketing and for $40 I can get 35K visitors. I…….am…….on……..my……..way!

In March of 1999, I had 3260 downloads and received my 1st check in April 99 for $564. Only one month in 7 and 1/2 years did I not receive a commission. I was absolutely crushed. I made $22971.14:woohoo: in one month from 1 casino and then the credit card crap happened, but we bounced back, then the paypal, but we bounced back from that as well.

Oh, and the skeptics that would tell me this is nothing but a scam, 7 years later still saying the same, but couldn’t explain a 2002 Jaguar XJR I bought in 2002. I’ve always lived slightly above my means and the casinos made it even more above. Big mistake! I’ll have great months again, but it’s going to take more hard work. – Be careful of what you love to do.

I love golf, played it professionally..my wife hated it. It cost me that marriage – she enjoyed the money from it though

I love casinos and being affiliated with them..my wife hated the long hours I spent working at it – It cost me that marriage – she really, really enjoyed the money from those.

Anyway, thank you to Hitbox who now charge a hefty fee for their services

I got really lucky. Signed up with Enhance (Dogpile) on 4/3/06 and was the first page for about a minute when they yanked my add for gambling keywords. But I did get 22 downloads, 10 registrations and 4 depositors two of which continue to play today. Ah, my 15 minutes of fame.:highflyer

Yep, I forgot about that one.

If a moderator has the time to add that option, please feel free.

Since I’m new to this could you please define “big money”. I know my opinion of it as a casino affiliate is not the same as everyone else’s in this thread. Thanks.

I mean “real money player” in the definition of someone who deposits, not as a whale or something near that.

Even if you made 10 cents, it’s more than I do!

Well My Website went online may 29th..
and after a month of copious advertising..
a month later june 28 or 29th I generated some commission..
thankfully there has been some activity ever since then..

I suspect I have been lucky so far.. THe Best possible scenario
is for your website to get legs under it and gain some momentum,
in this respect i feel i have to keep advertising for the time being
while i learn a little more each day about seo, and other advertising
methods.
