Hi Elgoog,

when I check the SERPS of the keywords I get the most traffic from, you are almost always above me :tooconfus
But then these are long-tail keywords, so are you loosing traffic on a few short keywords maybe? And is there a difference when you do a search on google.nl or on google.be?

If so you could have over optimised your sites for let’s say ‘casino’. I know you have a lot of links on those startpages (startpagina’s).

greets,

jonitas

Sig links are usually votes for ones own site. A common sense indicator the links are not viral..

If google are applying block level link analysis, sig links seperation will be taking place (I believe they are). Links in actual posts will carry more weight.

Nothing scientific, just what I think I see going on with sites I watch closely…

Why do you think Google treats Message boards differently from any other web page?

I had assumed all pages were treated in a similar manner – they’re webpages that can (and do) appear in google listings from time to time.

A message board is simply a public CMS system.

Basically, what she means is, that CAP should allow certain people to have sigs and some not to. Which I think is a pretty bad idea, as different people have different idea of a “good website”.

WHAT?

This has absolutely nothing to do with CAP!

I said that CAP is likely NOT connected in google as far as post signatures go. The exact opposite. While post sigs get spidered, I do not believe they reflect back on the message board. I do not believe google views message boards the same way it views other types of sites.

CAP is for affiliates, and sigs are good for affiliate rankings, ergo CAP allows all links and everyone would be well advised to make use of that opportunity.

I also said that it is a bad idea to link indiscriminately – I was referring to people’s websites, and all those huge link pages people carry without continuously checking what google thinks of those sites.

ty Stupid,

btw, its not just someother websites ranking higher than me now,
when first on the first page in the serps, now not found in first 1000 results

As to you saying that you went from 250 referers to 25 – this is not a ban, often, there are new websites which are “better” than yours, and Google will place them above your page

If your website completely disappeared – I would wait for a while before touching anything, sometimes sites just come back.

I have been saying for some time that indiscriminate linking is going to be a problem…. and if that is not the case here yet, it’s still a very bad idea.

can you explain this more?

anyway, just found a (non-gambling) page wich went from 250 to 25 daily visitors overnight,
and no bad links on that page….
