CPA or Revenue Share?

prozeal asked 3 years ago
Hello everyone, I just joined this great forum and it’s a privilege to be in this community where we help each other out :noel: So hopefully this becomes a poll with the help of Professor, not sure exactly how to set it up. Anyhow here is the question, which I couldn’t find listed in the forum.

Which one is best CPA, Revenue Share, or Hybrid?
Thanks all looking forward to it!

CPA is only acceptable when dealing with Poker players who have a tendency to get siphoned off by Rake Backers. Rev Share is VASTLY superior for Casino Players

If you want to be a true partner, Rev Share all the way.
No question about it, just do your homework on the casino/pokerroom/sportsbook before proceeding and read these boards!

My goodness thank you very much you made it very clear which one to go with, before I was thinking maybe to go Revshare with known and popular casinos and go CPA with lesser known casinos but now I know! I was ready to pull my hair out just because of this question :banger: . I also thought Revshare to be the best but wasn’t sure because of thinking of other factors that come into play. I guess the reason Revshare is the best way is that you make more money in the long term as opposed to making a quick 50 or 100. For example if someone plays with 25 and loses it all and I get 35%, that’s 8.75 and if they do the same thing about 6 more times which I’m assuming is very likely, that’s already past 50 which seems to be the most common CPA comission. Are my reasonings correct? If so can you add to it?

Thanks Professor for the clear explanation

Your reasoning is partly correct. The reason CPA is so bad is because it unfairly treats one of the parties in the business relationship. On one side, a bad affiliate sends a lot of bonus abusers and such while getting a CPA on each player, which the casino doesn’t appreciate and therefore closes down your account, maybe even withholding payment. On the other side a good affiliate sends quality traffic and those players produce way more over time than the CPA amount, resulting in the affiliate missing out on potential revenue. In either case, the affiliate looses.

I can only add a resounding “agreed” to that.
