But I think he enjoys a good debate wether it makes any sense or not thats why we have all this chatter over a basic non subject.Nick why not move into a different area like “Why the hell does Tom Coughlin STILL have a job?” or “Was Tony Romo paid to drop that damned ball?” Now those are two subjects I would love to see thrown around.
I wonder why Ken from Blackjackinfo hasn’t popped by to throw his two cents into the pot or did he do so earlier and run screaming into the night?
Ok i agree Tom Coughlin has lost his mind, his comments resemble someone of howard’s mentality
I think Parcells was to blame, not Romo
A lot of things happened
1st and 10 from your own 1 yard line, you throw a pass ?…
wait a minute, you are up by 7 with 5 minutes left in a playoff game on the road, that was what led to the fumble, safety and td and got romo and the gang rattled.
Romo is the only starting qb who is also the placeholder in the entire league ?…
Is everyone else stupid and only dallas is right here
The reason is you want the guy warming up on the sidelines who is practicing catching and placing the ball, not the guy who is all jacked up and beaten up from being on the field all game.
If you want sports betting tips, you can go to my site, a few members here are on my msn and can attest to the fact that i am the greatest sports capper around, especially with nfl football
I did put a few bucks on philly when mcnabb went down and advised others to do the same, i got em at 40-1 to win the division which already cashed, and 300-1 to win the super bowl, which is questionable, but outstanding value nonetheless, plus a host of other goodies, i expect to corner the super bowl futures market yet again.
Back to this subject
I don’t believe there is much, if any profit to be made by choosing one way or another, certainly not the obscure totals i have seen here, and in fact when you take certain variables into play, splitting comes out to be the more profitable play, as i thought i have already proven.

Get one thing straight
0.675 is indisputable fact, it is not 0.70 like you said earlier, it is not even 0.68, it is 0.675, the hand is made, you know your final total, and you know your odds of getting beat.
So it is you who is in disagreement with the mathematicians, not me
Sorry Michael. I responded to the bait.
The numbers vary according to rules and decks as follows:
Multideck, Stand on Soft 17 — ~0.70
Multideck, Hit on Soft 17 — ~0.675 (I round to 0.68… the precise number varies with number of decks)If you doubt these numbers, look them up at Wizard of Odds or some other reputable site, using both sets of rules. The difference in values occurs because there are different chances of the dealer drawing 21 and drawing 19 or less with the two dealer strategies — hit on soft 17 and stand on soft 17.
Why do you care so much about the precise value down to the nearest thousandth? We haven’t used that level or precision elsewhere in the thread. Regardless of which of these numbers we use, the higher EV move is standing, not splitting. It’s not even close.

Here’s the proof that standing is better than splitting:
1. The 100% unanimous agreement by every expert in the field.
2. The consistent results from computer simulations.
3. The fact that I’m willing to back up this strategy by betting on a real-world test. What exactly is your proof?

InactiveWhats the odds that this thread could be the longest in CAPs history ?
Or am i way off :confused:January 10, 2007 at 10:21 pm #721991
vladcizsolMemberIts not… But if it ends up getting there that will indeed be sad :1Dopey:
I am sure someone will eventually argue over these points and take the crown from this gem:
1. Who is buried in Grant’s tomb?
2. If russia attacked turkey from the rear would greece help?
3. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?January 10, 2007 at 10:27 pm #721993Anonymous
InactiveWhat´s the difference between a dwarf and an elf (from the Office UK)?
and why can´t it be explained by Monte Carlo modeling?

vladcizsolMemberQuote:What´s the difference between a dwarf and an elf (from the Office UK)?There MUST be a mathematical formula that seperates the two…..
If anyone has the answer they just might receive a shrubery.

The answer is very simple, but first you must establish the fact that there are only 7 known dwarfs in existence
This won’t be the longest thread in history because i am officially done with these pinheads
Now if somebody wants to make real money, they can have my exclusive take on this weekends nfl football games, they are not going up in public, and only people who don’t bother me are invited to take advantage of this offer.
Since this is your place Lou, you get the intial offer, would you like them ?
