Casino Pays, what’s the status here?

I’m feeling for Ellen here – and would like this one to have the happy ending for the affiliate.

You must not promote CDPoker or any of the Casino Pays group, otherwise you would feel sorry for yourself too ;) Unless you have a way of getting all the pcs your players own to enable cookies for you automatically

    Hello everybody,

I would like to clear up a few issues regarding cookies and the use of them with the CPays affiliate program.

    1. Our system was tested many times to ensure that a player who clicks on a link will be tracked, and the cookie system, which is the most common system to be used with affiliate programs all over, works perfectly.

    2. Possible reasons for the cookies system not to work:

    * Cookies acceptance is disabled on the visitor side – in this case the player will not be under any advertiser – this option is less likely to happen as cookies use is almost a necessity for secure websites such as E-mail suppliers and such.
    * A visitor who enters one affiliate website clicks on a link to a specific brand and never download but instead enters a different affiliate of the same brand and then downloads and registers will be counted as the first affiliate he entered through – this is the most common issue as an affiliate obviously can’t control his visitors (unless he offers rake back deals in which the player is obligated to a certain affiliate).

    * A bad member link which is mistyped will not be counted obviously – This issue was resolved a long time ago when we offered an intelligent Marketing Tools system which automatically set the affiliate’s link so he can just copy and paste it – Our new Marketing Tools system makes it even more easier for the affiliate to use our banners with a minimal effort on the affiliate’s side.

All of the issues stated above are less likely to occur on a regular basis.
On a more personal note I’ve done my investigation and testing of the system and can only say that it works well with no flaws.

One more thing – CPays is a respectful company who has been around for years now, we have many affiliate partners who have been working with us for years and are satisfied. This unusual issue with Ellen who is our affiliate partner since 2002 if I am not mistaken is terrible both for us and for her and hopefully this issue will be resolved very soon.

If you have any more questions regarding this issues, comments, remarks please feel free to contact me at anytime.

    Best Regards to you all,

    Eilon,

I’ve no doubt that you’re genuinely trying to solve these issues. And that you’ve taken it up with your IT group. But based on your responses (assumed to have been taken from your IT people) they are not serving you well.

Honestly, it smacks of a handful of non-testing IT people reacting with self-serving smugness and indignation when their systems are challenged.

MY background was running an IT shop for a major bank, inlcuding a number of web applications. I’ve run into this situation a number of times – and there ALWAYS was a root casue to the customers complaint.

Well this part is simply wrong.

Unless you’re prepared to share your test matrices, showing the combinations of operating system, browser type and version, and cookies settings … as well as when this extensive test plan was undertaken …

… then you’ve got to expect affiliates to react with surprise when they have anecdotal evidence that appear to prove that ALL IS NOT WELL.

I suspect that not proper test strategy was drawn up. There were no test plans created from the strategy – no filed results – no result analysis.

Instead a couple of webbies create a cookie writing process and say “see – it works” with a minimal amount of testing on a handful of setups.

    TEST PLANS GOLDEN RULES :
Create a full matrix of variables.
Create a test plan for each variant.
Write expected results for each test BEFORE executing them.
File the results and confirm acceptance – or flag aNY variation.

Furthermore, I’d be prepared to wager that these TESTERS were directly responsible for creating or maintaining the code, and so their interests are best served by finding NO PROBLEMS.

    TESTORS GOLDEN RULE
The testors should not be people responsible for creating, writing or maintaining the code.

The testors need to WANT to find bugs, to have incentives to find errors. Programmers make the worse testors. They “know” too much – and do not closely supervise the actual results.

    Eilon,
    I agree.

Yes. CPAYS is a RESPECTED company.
Yes. There are happy affiliate partners. Blissfully unaware of lose revenue.
And Yes. The scheme may have worked when it was introduced.

But – computers are complicated. Systems change and evolve over time. And the current cookie system has flaws that mean a player does not always get assigned to an affiliate.

When was the last time the affiliate scheme was regression tested? Where are the test details combinations of operating system, browser type and version, and cookies settings ?

I suspect that no regression testing has ever been performed since the scheme was introduced. I suspect that there is not test strategy. No test plans. And certainly no record of filed results.

How many players does CPAYS now get “affiliate free”?
    Has this percentage increased?
Why not ask these players where they were referred when joining up and then manually assign them to the correct affiliate.

Ignoring the problem – saying that there is NO problem – might be benifical to the company in the short term – but not in the long term. Affiliates are talking – and CPAYS are not listening.

As a RESPECTED company – I would expect CPAYS to be doing more than this when a long standing affiliate presents rock solid evidence.

    I agree.

I don’t believe there was any test vector / matrix and I doubt there is even 1 anomoly report (deviation report). Which means there is no real testing done.

Anyway.. I removed all cpays aff links until this is resolved satisfactorily.

I always seem to get excited when I try a new program as I did with CPay today….189 Click throughs 28 downloads. I was pretty happy. I’m not a big player but I thought it was good enough to at least have earned a response to my e-mail sent to the bossman. No…I got blown off. I got no response…Now CPay is gone from my sites…. it took one day of disrespect to lose me…. It would be a better world If these hotshots undersood we’re :santa2: not at the bottom of the food chain. Show me some respect Cpay and you will get some in return….Until then….Bye Bye Now.

Just to update: I am now collecting CPR#s from all those on my forum that say they signed up under us. I have 5 right now, it will take me weeks to get most of them. Once this is done, I’ll post the outcome.

    Hi all,

I have promoted Prestigecasino.com since they used bossmedia software. (about 2 years!)

After Casinopays.com migrated the affiliate accounts to their site I have not been able to login. They say that my affiliate accounts were “destroyed” under the migration, and there is nothing they can do. They have just asked me to open new accounts and promote their brands..

BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE PLAYERS I HAVE SENT TO PRESTIGE/DIAMOND/PLAYGATE ?!

Casinopays.com can’t/won’t help and have not offered any kind of compensation.

    Regards

Casinopays is the least co-operative program I have ever dealt with. Please pursue your affiliate accounts!

We had face to face confirmation that our (relatively simple) issues would be resolved. They haven’t. In 5 years in this industry I have not come across a program that operates in such a kamikaze manner. Ineptitude can often be excused but not on such a grand scale.

On a scale of 1 to 10 for programs so out of touch with affiliates, casinopays gets a whopping 235 so far over the richter scale that it doesn’t matter about the numbers because it has all gone BOOM anyway!

Anyone left promoting this program….good luck, you need it and that is all you have!

I have just sent a list of 29 account numbers, which took hours of my time to collect from my forum members. I’m sure others will contact me later, but for now I would like to be compensated for these as promised.

I emailed sammy@cdpoker.com and support@cpays.com Can someone please confirm they received this email, this is getting ridiculous. :unhappy:

Yes this is getting ridiculous CasinoPays, i have a excellant relationship with CPays & i personally have never had any problems but then i send a lot of traffic and players there way. I will make sure Itay is alerted to this thread and also my rep to see if we can get this resolved. This is not on, everyone seems to be having problems lately and they need to be resolved in a timely manner.

    Did you use return receipt?

Also Did you PM to them here too?
That way you cover yourself … because there is NO WAY that they can login here and say the they haven’t received them …

We’re watching with fingers crossed …
