casinobonusguy I’m Canadian and love 22 mins. I also know who your niece is, so that must mean she is famous.

I believe that A LOT of people, used to go drinking on a regular basis with John Hurt! – quality though ;)

Although, I am sorry but for me Renee’s totally blows everything else away!

Your Great Uncle was Ferenc Puskas!!? The Galloping Major!!? That is awesome!

and for those that want proof here’s footage of perhaps one of the cheekiest, most skillful finishes I’ve ever seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWjKQzCdrhk when the ‘Mighty Magyars’ became the first overseas team ever to beat England at Wembley in 1953.

Now, apologies for highjacking the thread but couldn’t let that pass ;)

BTW, a women who lives round the corner used to be one of the kids in Little House on the Prairie – does that count?

Yep, no shit. He was my father’s uncle.
The left foot runs in the family too I might add ;)
When I was in Europe last year, my partner told the cab drivers he was my great uncle and we didn’t pay for a single cab ride. Apparently him being an idol made me one too :)

Ok, we’re reaching here, since we’ve gone of “partied with” to have met or spoken to.

I’ve got politicians: met Mondale, Dukakis, Jesse Jackson and Al Gore at a party in 1988. Actually complemented him on a comment he made on a news show the previous week, which seemed to shock him. Met President Ford in 1980 when i was walking near the UM admin building, it’s most famous alum (well maybe Darth Vader’s voice is) the former president walked out the admin building.

I went to high school with the guy who owns the cleveland cavaliers and my his business partner married to my cousin.

I met Jack White of the White Stripes at my Cousin’s wedding, her husband was in 2 bands with Jack and managed them for a bit.

And for hockey fans, Scotty Bowman made the trade, that brought Brendan Shannahan to the Red Wings, from my brother’s living room (there is a certificate stating such there!). I’ve met Gordie Howe. My other brother used to play hockey with Ted Lindsay (when ted was around 70) and the 40 year olds (my brother was part of that) new not to mess with him even then.

But the most famous people i know? CasinoMeister, J Todd and a few others in the industry. :)

Will that get me on Letterman’s “Touch with Greatness”? which sounds sooo much better than “name dropping”

I played 8 ball against Minnesota Fats & Willi Mosconi, back in the early ’80s during a charity function. (Yeah, they won!)

And…my brother in law is somehow distantly related to:

Jack Nicholson , Actor Born: 22 April 1937 Birthplace: Neptune, New Jersey. Best Known As: Jake Gittes in Chinatown

Jack apparently used to attend family reunions before he got mega big and I have seen pictures!

Not that either one of them is remotely special…just thought I’d post for a change; instead of lurking. :roflmao:

Coulda, shoulda? Woulda? done the “nasty” with Ron Wood on the way home from partying at Richards house for a week. He caught me in the plane potty but, I said, “No!” Does that count?lol

Was tempting but his kids, nanny and wife were on the plane and what a bunch of peeeps. Would give me anything. Just don’t think Mrs. Wood meant her hubby.lol

And the last one was an impersonator… Geez you guys sure have got some heavyweights under your belts eh…

I think the only celeb I met face to face and got a photo with was “Grumpy” when I was in Disneyland when I was a kid… haha… how pityful…
