Re. your fortune stats, you should share your experiences and tests with Integrity from APCW. That would be constructive and helpful.

InactiveI’m sure Integrity is working on this right now but I think as a member of CAP, I am not hurting anybody by posting this. All affiliates should learn and realize what’s happening.Cheers :drunk2:

InactiveIntegrity has worked on this quite a bit. :satisfied
However, Fortune has been so busy that they have not replied to the audits published here in late February. Those results were originally sent to them on February 3rd, so they have now had over a month to reply. :notify:
I spoke to David two days ago and he had stated that he was going to reply by now. So far I’ve not seen that, though.
There’s no doubt that they should have made some sort of public statement about the audits by now. And there’s no doubt they should now make a statement on the buy-out issue. Whether they will or not is out of our hands.
We do have other audit results we are going to be releasing soon.

InactiveThanks Integrity for your findings. How come the affiliate managers don’t want to post? I would love to hear from them.March 8, 2006 at 7:00 pm #685711Anonymous
InactiveWhat I don’t get in the first place is what the problem with mergers is.
We have seen a number of them, and they leave the companies stronger and oftentimes more profitable for us.
As long as affiliates are being included in considerations, I see them as positives.
If we lose our players in the process, that sucks and I am the first one to loudly speak out about this.
But that is not what usually happens. Some of the recent mergers have been very good for affiliates, and I think the programs are quite aware that we are a part of the equation.
If Referback and Fortune should decide to merge, they surely have my blessings. I am quite confident that affiliates would not be ignored in such a case.
There will be a lot of mergers this year as the industry matures and contracts. I am quite sure that most of them will be benefcial for us.

InactiveI agree Dom. The only part I’m really worried about was:1) If Carmen Media has bought off Fortune Affiliates from Jan,2006. Why keep it on a downlow?
2) If our earnings continue like it did starting Jan, Feb and March. We have a major problem.
3) At least make the stats decent! My gosh, how can everybody earn $5 to $6? each month without noticing the consequences.
4) How long do we suppose to watch our stats not updating? or converting.
If any of the affiliate manager can answer this question either Referback or FA. We can go at ease!

InactiveI earn more than $5 or $6 with these programs and I am sure most people who have been giving these programs exposure to good traffic do so. Not every program performs for every person or site, so you need to drop what doesn’t and replace it until you find what works for you. That is part of the growth process.
My stats update and when there is a problem, like with fortune, I am aware of it and watching developments. Whether you wait and watch like I am doing now, or whether you want to pull right away depends on you and your bottomline. By all means don’t waste your traffic on a place that is not working for you.
If there had been an actual finalized merger, where money changed hands and ownership changed, in January, I am quite positive I would know about it.
So I am not concerned with your “ifs”. They are speculation and highly unlikely.

InactiveYou know something? It’s so strange to me. OK, a few might think they are doing ok but you guys seen a lot of members post about this issue. I will drop this un-till next month when I do my own tests. You guys can believe what ever you want. For those who needs to post to protect there revenue, I don’t blame you. You have been doing this for a long time and I’m sure that even the main top person who is responsible on affiliate wise would take care of you guys. But I have noticed what I noticed and many have noticed.
If things don’t go right, I won’t stay quit like a little baby. If I don’t believe it’s honest, you bet ya, I’m gonna fight it :popcorn:March 8, 2006 at 9:16 pm #685735Anonymous
InactiveIF this is true, then I look forward to finally making money at Fortune. IF this is true I think it is the best for all of us and we will all be better off in the long run.

Integrity published the report about it in the APCW forum here at CAP.
We are waiting for clarification or fixes.I suggest that if your bottom line has been affected at payment time, pull them. The loudest protest is to stop promoting a program.
My stats do not look correct now and I decided to wait and see the end of the month.

InactiveSo I’ll lose ANOTHER 2nd tier income? You know, that could be quite a selling point. How to re-take 2% of a casino’s income without really trying.

InactiveHi all,
Carmen Media does not own Fortune Affiliates and the two Affiliate programs are completely independent of one another. It is just a rumor.
Cheers,

Yeah, I hear you.
That really should not happen in most mergers. There is a problem when one program has a second tier and is bought by one that doesn’t.
