InactiveSeems Fortune has not waited on the big decision and just did this on their own because NOT all Microgaming is doing this as of yet! I noticed they said any NEW players, well if this is the case they can go low on my list for now and I will promote the others that have decided to wait it out for the final verdict from MG.

InactiveThis is Fortune only at this point in time.
There will be a meeting friday, and it is not a decision made by all MGS.
This is not carved in stone for MGS as of now.

InactiveWhat the F?
Why pull out now, when sanity is starting to return to the U.S., and why pull out of the ENTIRE U.S.?
And is it just Fortune or all of MGS?

InactiveOh this is nice..

InactiveAs Dom said this is JUST FORTUNE! They are in a panic mode and this is not set in stone across all of MG. I have no respect for this brand doing this before anything has been set in stone!!

InactiveOne of the reasons are the ever rising processing fees I am told.
They are apparently affecting profits to the point of no return for some.
The fruits of prohibition.
However, not all MGS feels that way and heated arguments are underway.
We should stay tuned til next week.
We may just see a pullout or two.

InactiveVegas Affiliates as well..
Dear Kevin,
Vegas Affiliates would like to bring to your attention about some important changes that we had to implement due to various factors.
* We regret to inform you that effective November 10th 2008, we will not be accepting any new players from the US.
* All existing players registered from the US will be allowed to continue to operate their accounts until further notice.
* We will continue to accept affiliates from the US.
* We would also like to assure you that most of our operations have been non US based therefore we will not be affected in any way.
While we find this a tough decision to make, we are excited at the same time with the opportunities that are in store as we now have a chance to focus entirely on the non-US markets.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to working with you focussing on the new markets in the days to come.
Should you need any clarification what so ever in this regard, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]
Regards,
The Affiliate Team
Vegas Affiliates
[email protected]It is more than just Fortune.. Don’t jump on the first person that delivers the message… We will be getting a few more of these from others I think.

InactiveIt’s individual decisions.
Two groups so far.

Guestbtw: there’s no way its not profitable to stay in a market that makes up 70% of your players.
I don’t understand the thinking behind this at all other than if they were deviously planning to return to the US again in a period of time. Be gone long enough to not have kept tracking so when the re-enter they don’t have to pay affs.
I don’t think that is the reasoning but its the best I can come up with for any logic towards moving out of your largest market at a time when it appears as though things could be taking a more OG friendly turn.
… I just cannot find logic in this.

vladcizsolMemberThere is no logic in it at all. Its an over reaction. From my understanding all MGS operators will drop Kentucky and Some will ban up to 18 states. As far as leaving the US market all together thats almost financial suicide and things are turning around right NOW. Timing would be incredibly stupid. Hopefully most will come to their senses and do the right thing. The ones that leave will end up be insignificant players in the game in the very near future.

I’m not doubting you, and actually Fortune told me what you’re saying. But I don’t understand why Fortune and VA both have the same deadline, Monday, if they were seperate, individual decisions. I’m worried that these are just the first two to notify us.
I will be seriously bummed out if all MGS Casinos start sending these notices out.

InactiveI hope this does not happened, but nothing surprizes me these days.

InactiveLike I said, there will be a MGS meeting on Friday.
So far the ones who are exiting the market are doing so because of the processing circumstances for these particular groups combined with the Kentucky IP blocking fallout. Not because of a unified MGS decision.
Places like Roxy and Wagershare left right after UIGEA, these are individual decisions.
