    Hi there,

I just want to clarify that RichWebmaster should be in the “Sometimes” Category for negative balance carry-overs. RichWebmaster offers a 30% No-Negative commission for Black Widow, Grand Banks, and Sterling House casinos.

By default the commissions are set at 40% and there is a negative balance carry over. We have set the 40% as the defaut because it is the most popular commission and the smart affiliates know they will make the most money in the long run with 40%.

It is easy to select the “30$ No-Negative Carry-over” or even the “30% – 10 tier” commission if affiliates don’t want to make 40%.

I hope this helps and best of luck,

I am still a little confused about neg carry overs. Lets use the following example.

Casinos player wins $15,000 on the last day of the month and the program says there is no negative carry over. Now this same player goes in the next day which is the first day of the new month, and this player loses it all back. I shouldn’t expect to be paid commissions on those losses should I ? This is a sensitive subject because there are many programs that boast about the no neg carry over, yet in certain circumstances I know a select few do in fact carry over regardless of what their website says. I think it’s only fair not to be paid the commissions on the above example. Especially if the guy only bought in for $100. The casino cant possibly pay you $4500 in commissions when they only net $100. However, if you have new depositing players for the new month and the neg carry over affects your commissions on this, then we have a problem. Please note, I am only referring to casinos that claim they don’t carry over negatives. I am curious how others view this as it looks to eventually come up in the future for just about everyone who promotes casinos.

This is every affiliate’s dream!

What the player does with his winnings at the end of the month is irrelevant. If he wins and cashes in, your balance resets to $0 on the first day of the month. If he wins, cashes in, and redeposits, you will earn a commission. And if he keeps the money in the account (without cashing in and re-depositing) and then loses it all, you still earn a commission.

If that particular winner is expected to play back all of his winnings before you can start earning a commission again, then you are dealing with a program that carries over negative balances.

Thats interesting Engineer, this is actually happening to me this month. So far, the player has lost back $10,735 and it says amount earned is $3225 but I’m still in the hole $454 because they apparantely carried over the win. I was a little reluctant to rocking the boat as I intend to be here for a while and I dont want to make any enemies, but now I am thinking a little differently. It’s a sensitive subject for me as I try to be fair, but if other affiliates get paid in this situation, I think I have to be fair to myself and request to be paid on it as well. I dont want to miss out on money due to me just to be the nice guy. Maybe some of the veterans here can give some more imput on any experiences they’ve had with this. I am curious what some of the other veteran affiliates would do in this situation. Bear in mind this a very well respected program we are talking about here.

You need to look in the list on the very top of this thread and see where the program is listed.

If their policy is to carry over negatives there is nothing you can do. You agreed to it when you started promoting them.

Regardless of their category, one can always ask….

First, I would like to thank Engineer and all of you have contributed to this list. I have decided to weed out those programs who refuse to work with affiliates by continuing the practice of negative carry overs and these lists have made my job in doing that much easier.

However, I came to realize that a lot of the CAP certified programs had not been mentioned on either list. I will try and add whatever program names I can find that fall in either catagory and would like to encourage other members to contribute as well, including affiliate program managers.

Thanks again for freeing up more of my time to party!

Dominique, can you please update the main list?

Action Affiliates and Money Mechanic no longer exist — please delete them from the list.

    Thanks! :)

    Hello All,

Casino Coins DOES NOT CARRY OVER negative balances. In February alone I personally erased the negative ballance of over 120 webmasters. At Casino Coins we understand that you can not control someone winning. On the media buy side I had to explain renewal for campaigns that had huge negative balances because of jackpot winners. I know what big winners can do to the bottom line.

Again, Casino Coins does not carry over negative balances.

As far as I know, all Boss Media programs do carry over negatives. They should be added to the list.

All should be aware that some programs that DO carryover will erase a balance to retain an affiliate. Sometimes a player hits a big jackpot, and you can see that if they carryover you will never make another dime. Smart programs will work with you if you ask.
