It is nice to see that not everyone is being knee jerk about this. It is obvious some are letting there attorneys guide them thus the reason for blocking only certain states. I am assuming this is because of provisions in the bill concerning current gambling statutes in these states? Anyone know the exact reasons?October 3, 2006 at 6:39 pm #709114Anonymous
Inactivedoes this mean they wont take US based affiliates as well?

InactiveWould like to hear from aff. managers as to their intentions as to “carryover” comission payments that are being held due to being under their monthly minimums. If Neteller is cut off, how, or when, will these due comissions be paid, OR are we expected to just write it off.
If they aren’t accepting U.S. players after a specific date what about the comissions due up to that date for that month?

InactiveThey are all jumping ship so fast for 2 reasons:
1) To comply so that they can not be accused of something illegal or be accused of being unccooperative – this will help relations for FUTURE regulation of gambling.
and…most importantly…
2) So we get SOOOO ANGRY, that we cause a huge stink and make sure a change occurs. They don’t want poker players to just sit back and “accept” the legislation by saying “business as usual”.
My Point of View

InactiveHonestly cannot see how Blasters can say that when other groups are all saying it is a Playtech directive…

InactiveHi there Professor, and all who contributed so far…
Thanks as always for a big load of good info

I’m very keen to get a definitive list of ‘definitely denying all US’ casinos/affiliate programs and whilst it’s great when everyone posts with new ones (including the maybe’s I guess lol), it would be awesome if perhaps the first post in the topic could be updated with the current list of ‘definites’ rather than having to page through so much.
I appreciate it’s an added task that no-one would really want and if that’s the case, maybe I could go through once a week and PM you with a definitive list if that’s preferable? (just to save as many of us busy webbies as much time as possible).
If you say ‘no’ I completely understand of course – just thought I would ask – and hopefully the worst I’ll get is ‘no’ lol.
Cheers all ,
Geno/CC

InactiveI would be willing to do that, but I don’t know how I would verify that they are “definite”.
But if you want to PM me, I’ll update the initial post with a list based on our best information.

Our legal team is evaluating the current situation and the bill. We will come up with an announcement very soon.

InactiveDamn, I know that calling it a night early on Friday set me back a lifetime, but hell now I can’t even take a cat nap (no pun intended) without waking up and having to regorganize my whole operation. It was only signed, it hasn’t even been enforced yet. Is everyone paranoid or is it just me?

This is mind boggling to me. The’re not even waiting for it to be law. You can’t convince me they are afraid of legal action. Something smells.

InactiveSorry just HAD to post again lol…
I’m not bailing or ‘worrying’ in the sense that I think it WILL DEFINITELY HAPPEN … It’s more the case that if ‘some people’ don’t do ‘something’ then more than like it’s at least a possibility. I feel like it’s like a lot of things – ‘everyone’ thinks ‘what was the big deal’ afterwards – but it’s often the ‘little things’ that made the whole change in the first place.
I don’t really think it will happen – but I want to (at least help) cover the bases to ensure it doesn’t…
Cheers,
Geno/CCPS (first time I’d ever though I’d be on ‘page 3’ lol – UK joke only maybe sorry lol)
