Maybe I’m missing something. I’m not seeing any threats.

    I don’t think it’s a threat, more like an observation :)

Dave says:listen I know all the brands and all the account managers, if you want to leave then leave but you will get problems with all the others and less money

I definitely see that as a threat. Dave knows all the other programs and if R leaves Cpays he will have problems with all of them? Hello?

So Dave will go around and tell all the other programs to pay out less money? WTF?

These are the kind of strong arm sales phone scammers use on the elderly, make friends, be nice, hold out the carrot and if the victim doesn’t do as you say, use the whip.

I understood it in the sense that he will have more problems with other programs, which don’t pay as much as his program according to him. If you take that one line in context with the rest of that conversation, that Dave guy never seemed to be aggressive, so I don’t think it was meant as a threat. But that’s just a guess, I could be wrong.

Dave clearly did not mean it like that. What he propapbly wanted to say is that other programs will not offer ArrGee as much money, personal relation and/or they would mess with his stats.

I am the last person to recommend you CPays, but in this case I see nothing threatening. You guys are making a mountain out of a molehill.

I am willing to bet English is not Dave’s first language -Sounds to me like you are making some decent income there and maybe he means you can replace them with other programs and same thing can happen or make less money.Maybe he is also speaking of the other playtechs as it is hard to find a good one these days.

while i applaud the fact that you decided to quit on cpays before they quit on you, i do not think that any threats were made. it just looks like bad use of english language…

Sorry folks, not trying to make a mountain out of a mole-hill.

If someone comes to me and says something along the lines of:
‘listen, I know such and such and if you do this and that, then there are consequences’, then I personally feel a bit uncomfortable.

If he had tried to explain exactly what he meant, then perhaps I would have taken a different view. However, there had been no attempt on his behalf, other than to say that words had been mis-interpretted by myself.

Once again, sorry if anyone out there feels that I’ve got the wrong end of the stick.

Stating you wiull have issues with any affiliate prog is not a threat, but a observation made by seeing numous issues with many affiliates posted here and other places. Making a big deal and turning somthing into a threat is just a stupid.

Agree that this isn’t a threat. It’s quite a stretch of paranoid thinking to read it in that way in context.

However, please furnish details of the drunken death threat – sounds rather amusing if a little unprofessional! :hattip:

Still sounds like a threat to me.

Maybe it’s just bad english, or an unfortunate way of putting something, but taken literally it is threatening consequences at other programs – which he points out he knows people at, if R quits cpays.

It’s the combination of saying that he knows people there and that bad things will happen IF R quits Cpays.

Obviously it can be taken one way or another, as seen by the posts above.

So I’ll bow to the general consensus, but I can totally understand how R interpreted this as a threat.

It seemed like he meant to say something along the lines of “you can go elsewhere but our competitors won’t bring you anymore money than us and their services are probably crappy (more problems), I know this industry”

He’s right though, it’s sometimes confusing with a conversation over instant messenger. I’m surprised he called you “ass” when you pointed that out to him lol

I agree with the stance that it wasnt intended as a threat per se. Dave was saying if you work with other Playtech Operators you will have problems also and get paid less in his opinion.

What I find ironic is he is also basically saying is all Playtech Operators are a headache to work with including CPays, so as long as you were getting a headache anyway you might as well be supplied with biggest asprins!
