InactiveI know there was an attempt to negotiate after London. It failed. They are just not willing to change it.

fintanMemberHey guys, we actually talk about the Grand Prive situation on this week’s CAP TV. We unfortunately don’t really have any new information to share, but we wanted to make an effort to keep the pressure on and to support the fact that you guys are still determined to get this resolved.
Check it out at the CAP TV page, or right here:

InactiveI feel the opposite there is hope and it was always going to take more then 1 person for this fight. Power is in numbers and it’s a shame that your not willing to fight for your rights as an affiliate but I respect your choice and would never judge you for that decision.
Anyway some responses on a class action guys would help, tell me your thoughts please. I think we can get something done if we go the legal way, I am willing to fly to SA to talk with the folks there as well BUT they would have to pick up the phone and agree to a meeting!

I would happily donate this amount towards any class action suit if it would help…(You can pay me back when we win the case!)

InactiveAnyone with any sort of knowledge on how to go about doing this would be appreciated. I guess we need to start with a good lawyer any suggestions anyone?

InactiveHi all,
Thanks for re-starting this topic Bonustreak – definitely need to stop these idiots.
I think the only way to get back at them is to hurt them with their own tactics – I think spending loads of money on lawyers (when basically their T&Cs – as many affiliate programs I’m sure most likely stated that they can terminate the agreement at their discretion) may result in them hiring more expensive lawyers, and it going on and on until those with the less money eventually give up.
I thought of one possible ‘perhaps silly’ but ‘similar to their way of working’ idea.
EDIT: (I’ve had a much more simple idea since this one) – see later reply..
Basically, they tend to grab their players by sending them a CD via regular mail with a freebie – $200 free – load the CD and off you go..
How about a ‘spoof’ mail shot (how to get mailing addresses would be another perhaps complexity but on with the idea)..
The player receives the CD, pops it in the drive and up comes a video explaining what Grand Prive are really about – warning them about their actions – of course the content would need to be quick to grab attention etc.
Perhaps a message telling them to warn others not to play, with perhaps a few links to big sites and maybe a HTML page with a list of links to all the black-listings.
It’s rather unorthodox I know and I feel a bit shameful suggesting it but it’s only the anger in me with the jerks that thinks perhaps this is the only way to get back at them.
Of course there would be a cost involved, but I’m sure a mass mailing of CDs will be a lot cheaper and more effective detrimentally to Grand Prive.
EDIT: (I’ve had a much more simple idea since this one) – see later reply..
As I said there would be considerations of obtaining player mail addresses to ‘market’ the ‘spoof 200 free’ or whatever and whoever was responsible for sending them out (if taking player mail addresses), would have to agree to destroy the lists if taking them from other affiliates (of course there may also be privacy issues there).
EDIT: (I’ve had a much more simple idea since this one) – see later reply..
It would be great if other MGS operators would join in but I think that would be very doubtful / negative competition so would have to be something coming from the affiliate (CAP) community as a whole.I’m not sure what others will think of this somewhat ‘dirty’ idea but I think sometimes the only way to fight is back with the same methods they use.
Anyway, if anyone’s interested in pursuing that idea, or got others, variations on this theme or others I’ll happily be involved as much as I can, but with regard to lawyer action I’m just not convinced it would result in anything much more than us losing.
I believe it is more a fight that would be more quickly, easily, effectively (and cheaper) won on ‘ethics’ rather than ‘law’.
I’ll watch this topic with much interest and look forward to any feedback (either way) on this (perhaps unethical in itself) idea LOL.

LucretiaMemberIt would be great if other MGS operators would join in but I think that would be very doubtful / negative competition so would have to be something coming from the affiliate (CAP) community as a whole.
I think it would be better that the all micorgaming casinos would work together, joined forces and send a letter of complaint to microgaming about this badly run casino and affiliate program.
Better think about it now microgaming operators then when it is too late and more of these joints come out the dark woods ala RTG. Doing nothing is just waiting for trouble and more damage to good programs.
OCD is now a full promoter of this joint…. :cappy:
At first it was this :
Villa Fortuna Casino is blacklisted, and can not be trusted. Your money is not safe at Villa Fortuna Casino, they will take it when they want it. DO NOT PLAY HERE!
and now it changed to this
Villa Fortuna Casino has been online since 2008 and provides a truly rewarding online gaming experience : you must be kidding me !!

InactiveNot sure who/what ‘OCD’ is (apart from the ‘disorder’)..
As for MGS operators other affiliates – I just kinda think from their point of view – ‘why get involved’ ? – It is not in their business interest, they have more affiliates already NOT promoting Villa Fortuna etc.. Getting another company back to pay affiliates is just helping bring back more competition .. (what are the plus’s for them?)
By the way, my prior ‘late night idea’ lol I since thought could be a lot more simplified.. Simply create a ‘new casino site with some enticing banners’ – then when people click thru they are presented with the video instead (that involves no dodgy collecting/using mail addresses), and essentially targets the same ‘channels’ of players that we are now losing our commission on.
(So – something like “??new name?? Casino – $25 No Deposit” flashy banner etc etc.. and then link thru to a site that apologies for the little trick and explains quickly about Grand Prive – or just link to your Grand Prive blacklist pages – but quickly have to get the attention of ‘Do you play at any of these casinos?’ I think..).
Anyway, don’t want to waste too much time on this – that latest idea I think would be very quick and cheap – if everyone was to give a bit of space for it – then eventually word would get around without losing too much traffic but getting the message across slowly.
I might start on something like that in a bit of spare time and see what happens.

InactiveHow about a “chain letter” started by each one of us,, and we send it out to all the people we know, all our members, and asking them to send it to all the people they know and so on. i know that these “chain letters” make it around the world very fast, and they can be annoying, but they do get around!

InactiveFurther to a PM I received from another CAP member and having considered that further..
I guess the best and most realistic thing to do is just keep plugging away and ‘anti-market’ them honestly.. as it indeed may annoy players being misled to the grand prive story.
Perhaps a few banners saying ‘play at (list of grand prive casinos) ?’ you NEED to read this..
And then link to pages.. cheap and simple – of course there is then the thing about showing those banners over those that will actually generate players and revenues… Tricky!
Maybe other ideas …. A huge FaceBook group??? LOL .. (think its time for food!)

InactiveFurther to my last (perhaps uninteresting reply lol)..
I’ve made sure I have banners showing linking to my ‘rogue Grand Prive’ page..
http://www.casino-crush.com/bb2/grand-prive-casinos-group-scum-scum-scum-please-read-vt31444.html
This was posted a while back but the banners are generated from the subject content..
I’m not very good on graphics (can you tell?) .. so if anyone can do a better job I’d be very happy to use theirs (with perhaps a more ‘grabbing’ message) and will make sure that more links are shown particularly on the Microgaming Depositor pages (these are I think the main ones we should be targeting)..
On the ‘topic’ side I will gladly add other reputable links (to CAP if allowed) and other portals (obviously reciprocation required) with similar notices to ensure that the ‘relevance’ factor is all good per SE’s etc etc.. either PM or post them here assuming that’s ok and we can all link up (again)
All the previous links are there via the link my blacklisting page which is in that topic. This is me ‘doing my bit’ at least – without the expensive legal option.. (I’m sure they have more money than all of us put together lol)

InactiveI really like that snail mail idea BUT not the trick part. What would you think about just sending a post card and have a huge warning on it of some sort? Also maybe we can find someone that is good on making videos and have them make something really catchy and all of us launch a viral marketing campaign?

InactiveI like the viral video…

InactiveHow can it be so hard to find the people behind grand prive and take it directly to them? Is the online casino industry truely a mafia like orginazation we cant attack directly? Wht if these same clowns run fortune affiliates or other groups?
