Well, a lot of my good friends have told me that. Luckily I have only used John’s hosting services.
And to be honest…. they’ve been good.
I never tried the traffic for obvious reasons..
I actually feel sorry for John if he purchased that for 40k, but if he did …. maybe it’s karma-time for that bad traffic.

I do think the $40k figure was inflated to save face, but I totally agree with Bernie whatever he paid its too much and a definate payback in bad karma for ripping off newbies with crap traffic.

We get a lot of traffic through the board and not everyone is familiar with the names of the affiliate programs or the casinos they represent
Sounds to me like she is placating member programs for not getting any clicks…

Or the few people who do visit there are such newbies they dont even know who the affiliate programs are anymore!
I think its a combination of both actually
April 30, 2004 at 4:23 pm #648624AnonymousInactive40k for a house or 40k for a house of cards?
Guess time will tell.
First job IMHO is ban Cindy and all her board permissions. Has he done that? Oh noooooo!
I blew 40k to be banned from my own board……
April 30, 2004 at 8:45 pm #648638AnonymousInactiveJetset’s newsrelease (the Infopowa news):
GPWA FOR SALE
30 April 2004Carley calls it quits
The controversial Gambling Portal Webmaster’s Association (GPWA) is up for sale, according to a communication sent out by its General Manager and owner, Cynthia Carley.
The sale is open to GPWA members, but with reports of troubled relationships and a declining membership, the GPWA is thought to have lost much of its lustre. Carley’s communication says that she is selling up to pursue new ventures, and that the remaining membership will have to approve the new buyer. A price has not thus far been mentioned, so presumably all bids are welcome. Carley will remain a member, she claims.
For the Association it’s business as usual until a definite buyer is announced, and the intention is to maintain the “operating philosphy.”

May 1, 2004 at 3:01 am #648665AnonymousGuestI agree with Ark, sounds like maybe a 0 was added. If I ever gave it serious thought; I’d likely not have bought it for more than $1500.
And only then because that I think with a face that was totally dis-associated with Cindy; yet familiar with all the oldies; would it do well again.
I cannot say whether CG will be far enough distant of Cindy to be able to lure back many of those that have left or been banished. As I write this I am contemplating that very fact myself and as mentioned; what now sticks in my side is the bad traffic.
funny how things can come back to bite you in ass when you least expect it. I think the platform may be an actual liability to CG because of the bad traffic; as he will be held to a higher standard and more importantly, will be right out in front of what would surely be an angry crowd to answer for it.
Not a position I relish even if it did have a lot of promise. That promise quickly turns to work against someone that isn’t totally legit.
