InactiveHi,
Google does not allow any ads that promote online gambling. The site you metioned obviously got by the automated filters..and if someone points it out to Google..they will pull it down.

InactiveThat site is a free game site and that is how they get around the loophole. After you sign up I believe they will email you with how to play for real money. They have been on adwords for a long time.
I’m very familiar with adwords. I duped them for forever with my sites but now they have completely blacklisted me. They won’t even allow my non gambling sites or respond to emails. When I call they tell me a rep will call me back in 24 hours but they never do. I pushed it way too far :suicide:.
I certainly wouldn’t complain to google about other gambling sites on adwords. That’s just spiteful. If they are smart enough to get up there then why spoil their good thing?

InactiveAs long as you don’t have any links to online gambling sites, you can list your information on Google. The trick is being able to monitize the traffic when you can’t pass someone directly through an affiliate link. Things like downloading and eBook or signing up for a newsletter seem to be popular. Haven’t tried it though, so don’t know how successful it is.

InactiveYes, I agree with Webber and Big Daddy. It really is how to monetize the traffic with your “free giveaway”. You have to be careful with the editor process as they will quickly throw you out.
I had some sites that were up and then banned by google even without links, etc. They referred to “deposit bonus” and that was enough.
I agree about not flagging the guys who are there – kudos for them for getting around the system.
I wish more people could get around the US gambling “ban”.

InactiveGoogle are lying. That is fact that I can back up with evidence.
Google are publishing online casino advertisements for certain webmasters. They’re rejecting them for the majority.
Bigdaddy, I certainly WILL inform Google of policy violators. They seriously damage our income by attracting visitors away from natural SERPs. This isn’t a case of fair SEO, it’s a case of ‘friends’ of Google being allowed to bid with the majority closed out.
That said, Google are 100% aware of policy violators who link direct to online casinos pages. Google will pull them down if they’re not a buddy of yours. If you are, then your links will remain for months.

InactiveHere, take a look at this one. Try it using a UK proxy, if possible:
xhttp://www.google.com/url?sa=L&ai=BueOG7nx0RLy0HKToRf6Z9Z8B-M-SFNDi7YYClK3iBPCTCRABGAEoBTABOABAihZIpDlQhMPD-gWYAedzqgEEMk5SU8gBAZUCRkURCg&num=1&q=http://www.bellaisa.org/buscar/custsear/casino/uk/1/
(remove the x a the start of the URL)
It rotates between various landing pages – a breach of Google policy in itself.
Let’s see where it’s landing:
xhttp://www.paddypowercasino.com/cust?GID=6000&AFF_ID=6010
and
xhttp://www.32red.com/index.php
and
xhttp://www.888.com/
and
xhttp://www.casinochoice.co.uk/?wcw=overture&OVRAW=casino&OVKEY=casino&OVMTC=standard
To name but a few. These links detract from your links. You CAN’T compete with any level of SEO because Google won’t remove the offending ads but won’t allow you to submit yours.

I can see your point with sites like RealVegasOnline, AmazingGamblingSystem and WinningBaccaratSystem. RealVegasOnline.biz is a free casino site but if you sign up to WinningBaccarat you get an email pointing you to RealVegasOnline.com their real money site. So it’s pretty clear they are owned by the same company.
But for the people that can get up for a week or so before getting yanked I say good for them. I did it for along time and made out great. Now I’m banned from adwords no matter what sites I submit. I still don’t have a problem with people doing what I did. You can’t get away with it forever (unless you are the 3 sites I mentioned above) but trust me, it’s worth the trouble even for a week.

InactiveI just hate Google because of this type of discimination.
I tried to advertise a free ebook landingpage,
but they just neglect my request to use the word casino (don’t review my ad).May 24, 2006 at 7:14 pm #693107Anonymous

This is very interesting and looks like something we need to investigate.

InactiveI wondered that myself, but never questioned it because, after all it is Google. Eventually everyone will stop holding google up so high and realize that they are a business just like the rest of them.
At my full-time job (affiliate is not my ft job), our PPC campaign was halted when google informed us that the phrases (keywords) we were bidding on were copyrighted.
How do you copyright a search phrase? With money I guess.

InactiveGoogle know how some of these are done. They know because I’ve told them numerous times.
Take this one as just ONE example:
A search for ‘uk casino’ brings up:
xhttp://www.google.com/url?sa=L&ai=B2U2ms6N0RIH9B7yiiQLZ9Y24Ae7LsBDq8K_3AdrlsvwI0OqyAQgAEAEYASgCOABAihZImTlQjMaIzP______AZgB53OqAQQyTlJTyAEBlQI7EEIK&q=http://www.UK-Casinos.com
which is cloaking its landing page to show this quite innocent landing page
to Adwords staff:xhttp://www.uk-casinos.com/guide/
whereas us UK visitors see this instead:
xhttp://www.best-uk-casino.co.uk/guides/
Are Google intentionally allowing this to go ahead or are they really not
capable of using a proxy to see what real visitors are seeing?I know which option I believe.

InactiveTaking another look at one of the ads I mentioned above:
xhttp://www.google.com/url?sa=L&ai=BBK8VVGR1RN_2A76WiAKj7dXyAfjPkhT8xvSHApSt4gTQyhYQARgBKAYwATgAQIoWSKQ5UJn57MX6_____wGYAedzqgEJMk5SUysyR01MyAEBlQIJuEIK&num=1&q=http://www.bellaisa.org/buscar/custsear/casino/uk/2/
As I mentioned before, it varies its landing page across various online gambling properties.
Clicked it once, it went here:
xhttp://www.uk-bingo.net
Did it again, went here:
xhttp://www.888.com

vladcizsolMemberThree of the sites you are talking about are owned by the same affiliate and they have been up for many months and arent going anywhere soon as this person spends six figures with Google Adwords each month.
The only question I have is wether he is making enough “Prophet” to cover the campaigns :wink-wink
May 25, 2006 at 12:32 pm #693165Anonymous
InactiveJoe…are you sure Google did not disapprove your ads because you were using “trademark” terms and not copyright terms?
May 25, 2006 at 12:33 pm #693166Anonymous
InactiveIt is not the first time that someone beats the filters for casinos, pharmacies and porn.
They can remain some time (months maybe).
The risk is that Google may ban the adwords account.
So for someone involved in other industries is not business -
