vladcizsolMemberPoker Dude why did you remove your post. I thought the feedback you got from your affiliate manager was VERY important news and should be shared.
Though the last comment was a little over the top…February 24, 2007 at 5:25 pm #728553Anonymous
InactiveProfessor,
Yes, the last comment was a little over the top, and it has been removed and will not be mentioned again, but I will restate my post (but, with a different ending):
I spoke by phone w/my Aff Mgr today, and told me that all US affiliates are done after Feb 28th. There will be no facility for US affiliates to continue along. He also told me that affiliates would not be able to get paid for Feb, since the Doyles Room S/W would be IP-blocked as of that date. Hence, it sounded as if we were all getting screwed out of Feb Commission.
After I posted originally, I got a retraction Email from my Aff Mgr, who said that Aff Earnings should be posted the 1st week of March (hopefully, by March 1st), and that we would have access to the Cashier’s function, to request withdrawal. This is an change over what he had originally told me on the phone.
It remains to be seen, but all should be on alert. And, if you haven’t withdrawn all monies already, I would suggest doing so ASAP.

GuestI can’t understand why they’d say no to US affs that target out of state players?
seems a little over the top to me.
this whole deal has been handled badly though I’m not up on things enough to say it was their fault or that of the press but first it was one thing, then the other … and now I find out they’re not only cutting ties with players but affs as well.
…. glad i never got around to signing up with them.

Inactivebb1webs wrote:I can’t understand why they’d say no to US affs that target out of state players? My Aff Mgr said that they couldn’t procure off-shore banking that would facilitate payment in US dollars. It’s up to you, if you want to believe that or not.
They were a major player of mine, and this loss will be great for me. They always treated me well, but their exit is extremely abrupt, and very contradictory to their mantra over the last couple of months — which was that they were in the US for the long haul. Even after the Tribeca announcement several months back, they continued to state that they would be a U.S. force to be reckoned with. Blah, blah, blah….

InactiveApparently, US affiliates can still market Doyles outside of the U.S. My
affiliate manager must have been misinformed:IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR AFFILIATES
Last week, the management of the Doyle Brunson Poker Network (DBPN) has reluctantly decided not to permit online real money play by US-based players in view of the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA) and the cessation of operations by Neteller and other payment processors. US online poker players are not permitted to sign up for real money play or deposit funds into existing accounts. Commencing March 1, 2007, all US play on DoylesRoom.com will be blocked and US players will be able to access only the withdrawals page.
In light of these changes, we urge you to focus your recruitment efforts as a member of Doyle’s Room Affiliate Program only towards non US-resident individuals. Our department is working on new tools that will help you recruit more players outside the US-market. We’ll keep you posted.
Many of you have been contacting us, and we want to tell you that we truly care about your concerns. But unfortunately, the affiliates who had US-players as referrals will not continue receiving commissions after February 28th, 2007 since their play at DoylesRoom will cease on that date.
Our next affiliate payment for February’s play that will be processed during the first week of March will be paid as normal. However, no further payments will be processed for US-residents’ rake.
DoylesRoom.com will now increase its focus on Canada, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. We look forward to continuing working with you to help us grow in these markets.
We would like to send special thanks for those affiliates that have been showing their support and want to keep on working with Doyle’s Room outside the US-market. We are committed to working closely with you.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact your affiliate account manager by sending an email to [email protected]

InactivePerhaps Doyles Room could add a country field into their reports?
That would be useful as the affiliates that they want will be targeting many countries – and this would give valuable feedback as to which markets are being successfully converted.

InactiveYour right Paul, that would be good information to have if your gonna work them. I opted to take them down. After the email today that confirms affiliates get nothing for the USA players they are sending to Full Tilt, I am not real keen on working with this program anymore. I did well with them too. But it pisses me off they are leaving us out of the equation with this deal. I am pretty sure they are not just handing all these players over to full tilt as an early Xmas gift. There is cash involved, and we are being left holding our noners in our hand, while they sell our USA players off.
I feel like I am a 25% shareholder of those usa players, and they are crazy if they think I am going to reward them by sending more players. Aside from that, I was really impressed with the program. I liked everything about it, and I regret having to pull them, but I am just not going to dive in deeper with a program that makes money from a deal, and leaves affiliates out of it, the ones who brought the players in the door in the first place.
I am not positive there was cash involved in the deal to send Full Tilt all the USA players from Doyles Room, but common sense tells me there was. If it wasn’t a one lump sum I am pretty sure Doyles room is getting a hefty kickback off the rake they generate, and I should have part of that action. What can you do.

InactiveLast week, the management of the Doyle Brunson Poker Network (DBPN) has reluctantly decided ….
It took them a WEEK to decide to tell Affiliates?
Bullshit… it gave them another week of traffic… I’m very disappointed in this program, and I dropped them a week ago, when the information started surfacing. This has left a very bad taste in the mouth of most affiliates, who trusted the name, and the program. RIP Doyles Room…

FrankBlackMemberNow that they’ve moved , has anyone decided to go back to promoting them ? I had a real hard time deciding whether to or not because of the past , but have decided to give them another try . Though I must admit I’m having a hard time getting the correct links to do so and then getting set back up………

InactiveI don’t promoter them even though they decided to allow US players. My feeling is if they let us US affilates high and dry before why should I promote them. They screwed us before and they might do it again!

InactiveI never promoted them first time around, but I’d be interested in doing so – if only I could actually find out what poker variations they offer without actually downloading the software. For some reason, there’s no mention of what games are offered on the website.

What do you mean?
DR joined Prima and bans the same states MG does. I thought there were 12 banned states though.
