Ah!! Congrats on your new addition!! Can I ask what name you picked??
My two babies below! Both rescue cats. Nerf (the one at the window) has a fondness for munching on flies! Sumo (the black and white one) is just scared of her own shadow!

I think shelter-cats (or any shelter pets) are the best little ones you can have, they just love you without demanding anything :) I feel so proud when I look at my cat that I saved her from some nasty things and now I can give her anything she needs :)

Cutie kittens you have there Deirdre :)

    Hi Dom,

What a cute name! And clearly a very smart dog as he knows how to get the good spot to sleep.

As long as everyone is sharing pictures of their pets… here’s my little man, Sasquatch.

He’s a cat, who thinks he’s a dog, which is good for me as I prefer dogs anyway. I just don’t want to take one out for a walk in the middle of the night in January in Canada!

    How old is your doggie?

    Muffin’s a great name!!
Think one of my fave’s was a wolf/german shephard cross called Mojo! Nearly went with that for Nerf!

    Hi all (D),

Dom I’m not a shitzu but have often been referred to as shithead.

and though I’m not as cute … I almost never poop on the floor.

    still adopting?

Do you fit the following criteria:

    1. Always bright eyed and bushy tailed
    2. happy with table scraps
    3. always ready to go wherever and whenever I want
    4. spend hours entertaining yourself with a squeaky toy
    5. Sleep rolled up at my feet
    6. Think I am the greatest hunter in the world because I return home with fish, chicken, beef and pork in one trip
    7. follow simple commands such as sit, stay, down and come
    8. are happy to be sent outside when you get on my nerves.

    all that and …

warm you on a cold night, comfort when you’ve had a fright
shade you on a day that’s hot, free you when you think you’ve been caught
energize you when the bunny has long gone, turn up the tunes when its your favorite song
remind you when its time for your favorite show, when you’re sleeping be on my tippy-toes
just promise that my manhood and the vet’s knife will never meet, and the other promises … I would rather die than not keep.

    My resume’ Sweet Lady.

somebody once asked .. it was either Jimmy Buffet or maybe it was David Allen Coe … how he could write some songs that were so beautiful and then turn around and write something so vulgar.

I don’t recall the reply but would assume it has to do with a way of masking one’s true inner being with a layer of shallow statements to protect their sensitive side.

… or it could be that you can’t pull off such a vulgar remark unless it is preceeded with a lot of tree-hugging crap.

    :)

    onery aren’t I?

Well, looks like the little guy is now my physical trainer.

Every two hours I have to get up and walk for 15 minutes.

If I don’t, I am sentenced to scrubbing the floor.

Actually, It’s just what the doctor ordered, I get a good amount of walking in in the course of a day now.

I actually thought of you this weekend! I saw a shitzu puppy, and the strange thing was that my boyfriend said that if we got him, he would want to name him… Mop!

    Very strange!:3eyes:
